Shark you did it right.
My carpets came up so clean. . I was expecting ithe machine to go through the stain remover fairly quickly so lI was prepared by buying iextra bottles. The machine was so easy to use. My carpets were bedroom only, that were only used for guests. So they werent badly stained so it didn't take too long to clean and dry. I have owned other machines , for me this was the easiest and best one to use. The direction were so simple to follow.. You got it right SHARK. Thank you.

Carpet cleaner
I’ve always bought Bissell products but I’m so glad I decided to replace my old Bissell machine with this. It’s very easy to use and did a far better job. I just love how my carpets came up. I highly recommend this product

Furbaby parents best friend
Fantastic carpet cleaner light weight and sets up in minutes. Bought to clean up dog messes and I am not looking back. Great suction power, will bring up even the smallest amount of dirt. Does not leave the carpet soaked dried within 2 hours.

Great carpet ckeaner
I cannot speak highly enough about the ease of use and cleaning power of the Shark CarpetXpert with Stain striker Carpet a washer. The price was brilliant. I had no idea just how much dirt was in my carpet until I saw it being sucked up from the head into the dirty water tank. We have a dog with skin allergies who likes to rub his itchy smelly belly on the carpet. The cleaning solution smelled amazing - I thought it was just masking the smell but realised when it was dry that it had completely removed the dog smell. The carpet dried in next to no time - a few hours (I did have the window open and the fan on in the room). The suction is great! It can feel a bit heavy when sucking the water up but it does a great job of removing excess water. Would highly recommend! As with all carpet washers/vacuums, you do need to make sure you clean out all the components after use and let them dry properly before putting back together to avoid creating a musky smell in the unit.

Absolutely fantastic
I needed this to clean my daughter’s muscle mat and it did a fantastic job. I’ve used it on our carpet to get out milk stains as well and it did such a good job. Love the smell of the solution that goes in the big tank!

At a glance
The Shark CarpetXpert with StainStriker is a mid-range carpet washer designed for full-room carpet cleaning and targeted stain treatment on stairs and upholstery. It suits homes with pets, kids or frequent spills, with useful included tools and a 6 m cord for reach. Its main limitation is that it is not the lightest or most specialised option for heavy-duty commercial-style cleaning.
What it’s great for
- Whole-room carpet cleaning
- Pet mess clean-up
- Spot stain treatment
- Stair cleaning
- Upholstery cleaning
Where it works best
- Family homes
- Carpeted living rooms
- Bedrooms
- Stairs
- Upholstered furniture areas
Who it’s for
- Pet owners
- Families with children
- Homeowners with wall-to-wall carpet
- Renters managing spills
- Households wanting one cleaner for carpets and upholstery
Things to consider
At 8 kg, it is manageable for most users but heavier and less compact in use than smaller spot-only cleaners, and it is not aimed at commercial-scale deep cleaning.
Pet stain removal score
9/10 - included pet and stain tools make it well suited to common household pet messes and stubborn marks.
Large area suitability
8/10 - a strong fit for full-room carpet cleaning, with a wide stain tool and 6 m cord helping with broader coverage.
Ease of use
7/10 - versatile attachments and compact storage help, though the 8 kg body may feel less convenient than lighter spot cleaners.
Drying time rating
8/10 - marketed with ultra-fast dry times, making it a good choice when you want carpets ready again sooner.
Key benefits
- Deep carpet washing: Helps lift embedded dirt from carpets for a more thorough clean than surface-only spot treatment.
- StainStriker stain removal: Targets stubborn marks and spills more directly for easier spot cleaning.
- Pet tool included: Makes it easier to tackle pet messes on carpeted areas and soft furnishings.
- Stain tool included: Gives you a focused attachment for cleaning smaller, concentrated marks.
- Wide stain tool: Covers larger stained sections faster than a narrow spot tool.
- Multi-surface fabric reach: Cleans carpets, stairs and upholstery with one machine instead of separate cleaning devices.
- 6 m power cord: Provides extended reach across rooms and up stairs with fewer power-point changes.
- Ultra-fast dry times: Helps carpets return to use sooner after cleaning.
Q: Is this better for whole rooms or quick spill clean-ups?
A: It handles both, but it suits full-room carpet washing best. Shark EX200ANZ also switches to targeted stain cleaning for spills, stairs and upholstery, though the 8kg body is less convenient than a small spot-only cleaner for very quick jobs.
Q: Can it clean stairs and fabric furniture properly?
A: Yes. Shark EX200ANZ is designed for stairs and upholstery as well as carpet, with included stain and pet tools for smaller areas. The main unit is still corded and floor-based, so the hose and tool do the close work rather than the full machine.
Q: Will this leave carpet wet for hours after washing?
A: No. Shark EX200ANZ is built for ultra-fast dry times and strong water pickup, so carpets are ready to use sooner than with a wetter wash. Drying still depends on carpet thickness, airflow and how much solution is worked into the area.
Q: Is Shark EX200ANZ easy to move around a larger room?
A: Yes, for a full-size carpet washer. The 6 metre cord helps cover more floor and reach up stairs without changing power points too often, but the 8kg body will still feel heavier to push and carry than a compact spot cleaner.
Q: Do pet stains need a separate attachment on this model?
A: No. Shark EX200ANZ includes a dedicated pet tool, plus stain tools for targeted marks and a wide stain tool for broader patches. That makes it easier to switch between everyday spills and pet messes without buying extra cleaning heads first.
Q: Which cleaning solutions work with the Shark CarpetXpert washer?
A: Shark EX200ANZ is compatible with Shark StainStriker OXY Multiplier Formula and Shark CarpetXpert Deep Clean Pro. Other formulas are not listed for this model, so the named Shark options are the safer choice for fit and intended performance.
