Absolutely fantasticradio
It really worth it. I was recommended by the salesperson Matthew for this product and I enjoy the clear sound quality of this radio. I know I am old school and nowadays many ppl are using phones to listen to radios but I still enjoy the function this product. I would say this is a little bit heavy but it really worth it.

Excellent radio --- eventually.
Bought this radio after a lot of research and tracked one down at "The Goodguys" I took the first one home but when I switched it on -- NOTHING, no sound or anything. I immediately took it back to Caringbah store (Bill) who was amazed -- never happened before!!! However Bill's concern and help were faultless, he quickly gave me another radio which I am very pleased to report has worked impeccably since. The sound is excellent as is tuning and reception. Just what I was hoping for.

Nice Radio
For the price it works really well. I use it as an outside radio to listen to music or the AFl. I like that you can have the display light on at night or turn it off so it doesn't light the house up, it also can be dulled.

- Bluetooth 5.2 with aac: Streams music wirelessly from compatible phones and tablets with a simple cable-free setup.
- 60 station presets: Save up to 20 AM, 20 FM and 20 DAB+ stations for quicker switching between favourites.
- Lcd display with adjustable backlight: Makes station details and settings easier to read in bright or dim conditions.
- Rotary bass control: Lets you add or reduce low-end sound to better suit your room and listening taste.
- Rotary treble control: Helps fine-tune vocal clarity and top-end detail for talkback, news and music.
- Dual alarms with snooze: Works well as a bedside or routine radio with two alarm timers by radio or buzzer.
- 3.5 mm audio jack: Gives you a straightforward wired option for headphones or connection to external speakers.
Q: Can this radio send Bluetooth audio to wireless headphones or speakers?
A: No. Sangean DPR45BT uses Bluetooth to receive audio from a compatible phone or tablet, not to transmit sound to wireless headphones or speakers. For private listening or an external speaker, it provides a wired 3.5mm jack.
Q: How many stations can I save across DAB+, AM and FM?
A: Sangean DPR45BT stores 60 presets in total, split across 20 DAB+, 20 FM and 20 AM stations. That suits listeners who switch between local talk, music and news often, without needing to rescan or tune manually each time.
Q: Can I set two different alarms on this radio?
A: Yes. Sangean DPR45BT has 2 alarm timers, and each one can wake you by radio or buzzer. It also includes snooze, plus sleep and countdown timers, so it suits bedside use or a desk where you want separate weekday routines.
Q: Does the 3.5mm jack work for headphones and external speakers?
A: Yes. The 3.5mm connection gives Sangean DPR45BT a simple wired output for headphones or compatible external speakers. It is useful if you want private listening or to connect to another audio device without relying on Bluetooth.
Q: Will the screen be suitable for bedside use at night?
A: Yes. The LCD display has an adjustable backlight, so it is easier to read in a darker bedroom or a brighter kitchen. That gives more control than a fixed-brightness screen, especially if the radio will sit beside the bed.
Q: Can I adjust the sound for speech as well as music?
A: Yes. This radio has separate rotary bass and treble controls, plus a loudness on or off setting. That lets you tune the sound for clearer voices on talk stations or add more weight at lower listening levels.
