Brilliant tablet and smart pen for note taking
What I loved: the price was incredible considering it comes with a smart pen and isn't a super old model. I used it for three days writing notes at a conference for up to 4-6 hrs each day and the battery power was still at 50% at the end of the third day. The pencil was great for handwriting notes which then transferred to text in the notepad. I only use this tablet for note taking and reading so I can't review how good it is with gaming or streaming HD content. Things which could be improved: the smart pen is good but I had to make sure I held it in the precise position so that the nib had direct thorough contact with the screen otherwise the writing was not complete and clear and could not be accurately transferred to text. It took a bit of getting use and in the end was quite good. My hand was not as tired and sore at the end of 3 days which normally it would be when writing with a physical pencil on paper.

Value for money paid
Worth considering. Bought for a specific purpose at a discounted price. The only negative point is that the S-Pen has limited functions compared to other Tabs. The S-Pen works well within its available functions.

Things to consider
While it is well equipped for everyday productivity and entertainment, it is not as powerful or as feature-rich as premium tablets for heavy multitasking, advanced creative apps or high-end gaming.
Student suitability score
9/10 - strong fit for note-taking, online learning, reading and media use, especially with the included S Pen and long battery life.
Travel portability rating
8/10 - easy to carry for commuting and travel, with a practical size and battery life, though not as compact as smaller tablets.
Creative use fit
Good for sketching, annotations and casual drawing with the included S Pen, but less suited to demanding professional creative workflows.
Family sharing suitability
8/10 - well suited to shared home use for streaming, browsing, video calls and light learning, with durable design benefits.
Productivity vs entertainment balance
Balanced toward both - strong enough for study and everyday work while still being very capable for streaming, browsing and casual media use.
Key benefits
- 10.9-inch display: Gives you a comfortable screen size for reading, streaming, web browsing and split-use tasks without feeling too bulky.
- Included S Pen: Lets you handwrite notes, annotate documents and sketch directly on the screen without buying a stylus separately.
- 8000mAh battery: Supports up to 18 hours of video playback for longer study sessions, travel use or evening streaming.
- Wi-Fi 6 connectivity: Helps deliver faster and more stable wireless performance on compatible networks for streaming, downloads and online classes.
- Expandable storage: Supports microSD cards up to 1TB, making it easier to carry more files, photos, videos and offline content.
- IP68 water resistance: Adds extra peace of mind for everyday use around spills, light rain and busy family or study environments.
- 12MP front camera: Makes video calls look clearer for online classes, meetings and catching up with family and friends.
- Fingerprint sensor: Gives you a quick and convenient way to unlock the tablet and keep personal content more secure.
Q: Does this Galaxy Tab S9 FE have a SIM slot?
A: No. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB is a Wi-Fi-only tablet, so it does not take a SIM for 4G or 5G mobile data. Away from Wi-Fi, internet access relies on a phone hotspot or another wireless network.
Q: How well does it handle heavy multitasking or gaming?
A: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB handles browsing, streaming, note-taking and normal app switching well. Intensive multitasking and high-end gaming are the trade-off here, so demanding apps running side by side may feel less suited.
Q: Can I expand storage on the Tab S9 FE?
A: Yes. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB supports microSD expansion up to 1TB, which is useful for downloaded videos, photos and large files. The built-in 128GB storage still carries apps, updates and day-to-day content.
Q: Will the battery last through study or work days?
A: Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB has an 8000mAh battery rated for up to 18 hours of video playback. That figure suits lighter viewing use. Gaming, video calls, higher brightness and other heavier tasks will bring runtime down sooner.
Q: Is the S Pen included with this tablet?
A: Yes. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB includes the S Pen for notes, PDF annotation and sketching directly on the screen. It suits handwriting and drawing, but it does not replace a full keyboard if most work is long-form typing.
Q: Is the Galaxy Tab S9 FE water resistant?
A: Yes. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB has an IP68 water resistance rating, which helps with splashes, rain and dusty travel conditions. It is still an electronic device, so water resistance is not the same as carefree use around pools or salt water.
Q: Are the cameras good enough for calls and casual photos?
A: Yes. Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 FE Wi-Fi 128GB uses a 12MP front camera for video calls and an 8MP rear camera for casual photos, documents and quick clips. It also records UHD 4K video at 30fps, but tablet cameras remain a convenience feature.
