Ok
Item was either a display or returned - seal was broken, finger prints on screen, battery and charger were really hot after charging. Was not advised it was used but paid full price. Not sure if it is this dongle or my phone that has poor reception.

At a glance
The RUIO MiFi M23 PRO 5G is a portable mobile broadband hotspot designed for travellers, renters and remote workers who need internet away from fixed connections. Its strengths are 5G support, Wi-Fi 6, a compact pocketable build and a 5000mAh battery for longer sessions. A key limitation is that real-world speed and reliability still depend heavily on local mobile coverage and your carrier plan.

Things to consider
It is highly portable and capable, but unlike more specialist or premium cellular routers it may offer fewer advanced networking options, and actual performance will vary with mobile coverage and data plan quality.
Regional coverage suitability
Good for metro, suburban and some regional use where 5G or 4G coverage is available; best results depend on carrier network strength.
Travel suitability
Excellent - compact, battery-powered and easy to carry for use in cars, hotels and short stays.
Ease of setup score
8/10 - portable hotspot format and USB-C charging make it straightforward for everyday users to get online quickly.
Multi-device compatibility
High - designed to share one mobile data connection across phones, tablets and laptops at the same time.
Data speed vs category average
8/10 - Wi-Fi 6 and quoted speeds up to 3Gbps place it above many basic portable hotspots, though real performance depends on network conditions.
Key benefits
- 5g mobile broadband: Gives you fast portable internet access where fixed broadband is unavailable or inconvenient.
- Wi-fi 6 support: Helps connected phones, tablets and laptops get faster wireless performance and better handling of multiple active devices.
- Up to 3gbps data transfer rate: Offers high potential throughput for streaming, browsing and video calls, depending on network coverage and carrier plan.
- 5000mah battery: Supports extended portable use so you can stay connected longer without frequent recharging.
- Compact lightweight design: Fits easily in a bag or pocket for convenient use while travelling or moving between locations.
- Six cellular antennas: Helps maintain stronger 5G and 4G reception for more stable mobile broadband performance.
- Two wi-fi antennas: Improves local wireless coverage and connection stability for nearby devices.
- Usb type-c port: Makes charging and wired connectivity simpler with a widely used modern connection standard.
Q: Can this replace fixed home internet for a rental or short stay?
A: Yes, for many temporary setups. RUIO MiFi M23 PRO 5G shares a mobile data connection over Wi-Fi, so it suits rentals, holiday stays and backup internet, but speed and stability still depend on mobile coverage and your carrier plan.
Q: Will it still work outside strong 5G coverage areas?
A: Yes. RUIO MiFi M23 PRO 5G is designed for both 5G and 4G networks, so it can keep working where 5G is weak or unavailable, but performance can drop in remote or congested areas because mobile network conditions still decide the result.
Q: Is the battery suited to all-day heavy streaming away from power?
A: It is better suited to extended portable use than nonstop heavy sessions. The 5000mAh battery gives useful untethered runtime, but regular streaming, video calls or multi-device use may mean recharging before the day is finished.
Q: Does Wi-Fi 6 make a real difference on this modem?
A: Yes. Wi-Fi 6 helps RUIO MiFi M23 PRO 5G handle faster wireless links and multiple connected devices more efficiently, which is useful for laptops, tablets and phones sharing one connection, provided the mobile network is strong enough first.
Q: What do the six antennas actually help with in practice?
A: The antenna design is there to help signal strength and connection stability. RUIO MiFi M23 PRO 5G uses six antennas for 5G and 4G plus two Wi-Fi antennas, which can help maintain a steadier link when coverage is variable.
Q: Can the USB-C port do more than just charge it?
A: Yes. The USB Type-C port is designed for charging and connectivity, so it is not limited to power alone. That makes it more flexible for travel use, though mobile network access still comes from your SIM service rather than the cable itself.
