“Rinnai 3.4kW Portable Air Conditioner – Efficient Cooling with a Few Trade-offs”
A good choice for those looking for an efficient and portable air conditioner. It provides solid cooling performance with convenient features, but the noise level might be a drawback for light sleepers. but dont buy from goodguys because they are expensive than others

Key benefits
- 3.4kW Cooling Capacity: Delivers solid cooling performance for bedrooms, studies and other smaller rooms.
- Up to 24m2 Room Coverage: Better matched to compact spaces, helping you choose it for the right room size.
- Portable Design: Easy to move between rooms when you need cooling in different parts of the home.
- Included Ventilation Kit: Supports quicker setup in different locations without needing permanent installation.
- Wi-Fi Connectivity: Lets you control the unit through a compatible app for added convenience.
- Touch Controls: Makes day-to-day operation simple and accessible directly on the unit.
- Three Fan Speeds: Gives you more control over airflow to better match changing comfort needs.
- Washable Filter: Makes routine maintenance easier and helps keep the unit operating cleanly.
Q: Does this portable air conditioner need to be vented outside?
A: Yes. This Rinnai portable air conditioner needs the exhaust duct connected to a window or another suitable opening using the included ventilation kit. It is not designed to cool properly if the hot air is left inside the room.
Q: How often does the water tank need emptying?
A: It can collect water during operation, and the water alarm lets you know when the internal tank needs attention. Drainage needs can increase in more humid conditions and when using dry mode, so it is not a fully set-and-forget unit.
Q: Will the window kit work with a hinged window?
A: It works most easily with a sliding window, because the included vent kit is designed for a straightforward panel fit. A hinged window can be more awkward and may need a secure way to seal around the duct opening.
Q: Is this model quiet enough for a bedroom at night?
A: It is suitable for bedroom use, but a portable air conditioner sits in the room with you, so the sound is more noticeable than a fixed wall unit. Fan and compressor noise can be more obvious when it first starts or under heavier cooling load.
Q: Can I use it in different rooms around the house?
A: Yes. The compact portable design makes it practical to move between rooms where permanent installation is not suitable. It still needs the exhaust duct set up each time, so it is better for occasional relocation than constant lifting between spaces.
Q: Does the app do anything the remote cannot?
A: The main advantage of the app is control when you are not right beside the unit. Core day-to-day functions are also available from the remote and touch controls, so Wi-Fi adds convenience rather than a completely different operating mode.
