Found this on special over boxing day period and was too good to miss out. Good coverage with 6 camera, comes with 6 x 18m ethernet cables and mounting options. Reolink has the best value to image quality ratio so happy with all though wok probably upgrade storage to maximise review time.

The Reolink 12MP PoE NVR Security System with 6 Cameras and 2 TB offers ultra-high-definition surveillance for homes and small businesses, combining reliable wired connectivity with generous storage. It's ideal for users seeking clear footage, easy expansion, and straightforward installation. While it excels in image quality and coverage, it lacks advanced AI features found in some premium models.
Does not include advanced AI detection or smart analytics available in some premium security systems.
7/10 - Compatible with Google Assistant and Alexa, but lacks deep integration with advanced smart home routines.
8/10 - Delivers clear night footage up to 30 metres, suitable for most residential and small business needs.
IP66-rated cameras for reliable performance in rain, dust, and varying temperatures.
Good for general monitoring, but lacks AI-powered person/package/pet recognition.
PoE simplifies setup; suitable for DIY users with basic networking knowledge.
A: Yes. In a PoE system, each camera usually runs on a single Ethernet cable back to the NVR or a PoE switch for both power and data, so a separate power point at each camera is not normally needed.
A: A 2 TB drive is typically enough for several days to a few weeks with 6 cameras, depending on recording mode, frame rate and how busy each scene is. Continuous 12MP recording fills storage much faster than motion-based recording.
A: Yes. A Reolink PoE NVR system can generally keep recording locally to the installed hard drive without ongoing internet access. Internet is mainly needed for remote viewing, app alerts and off-site access outside the property.
A: Maybe. NVR kits often support more channels than the number of cameras included, but the real limit depends on the NVR channel count, not the 6 cameras in the box. Any added camera also needs to be compatible with the Reolink NVR.
A: A 12MP system captures more detail across a wider view than lower-resolution kits, which helps when checking faces, number plates or entry points. The trade-off is larger video files, so storage fills faster if you record continuously.
A: For many homes, yes. Six cameras can often cover the front door, driveway, backyard, side access and key entry points, but larger blocks, double-storey layouts or detached garages may need extra cameras for full coverage.
