Great for watching movies at home. Have been able to connect to the projector with an iPhone or PC plus a Bluetooth speaker. Initial set up to connect to devices is a little frustrating (turn off and on again) but no problems with connection after that. Only real downside is that you can’t adjust brightness once screen mirroring starts, so you have to stop, disconnect, adjust by guessing and reconnect.

The Philips NeoPix 150 Projector is an entry-level home theatre projector ideal for casual movie nights and streaming in smaller living spaces. Its compact design and simple setup make it perfect for first-time projector users or those seeking a portable option. While it delivers reliable performance for everyday use, it may not satisfy users seeking high brightness or advanced cinematic features found in premium models.
Brightness and image clarity are best in dimly lit rooms; not suitable for large spaces or daylight viewing compared to premium projectors.
6/10 - Good for casual home use in smaller rooms; limited brightness for dedicated cinema rooms.
Best suited for small to medium rooms up to 20 m².
5/10 - Acceptable for casual gaming, but input lag and refresh rate may not meet enthusiast standards.
8/10 - Plug-and-play design with straightforward controls.
Quieter than average for entry-level projectors, suitable for most home environments.
A: No. The NeoPix 150 is better suited to dim or dark rooms, where contrast looks stronger and colours hold up better. In a bright lounge or with sunlight on the wall, the picture can look washed out and less detailed.
A: It can work for occasional movie nights, but it is not the same as a TV for everyday daytime viewing. A projector like the NeoPix 150 needs a darker room, a clear wall or screen, and a bit more setup each time you use it.
A: Yes, for casual gaming. For fast competitive games, a TV or monitor is usually better because compact projectors such as the NeoPix 150 can have higher input lag and softer motion, especially on a very large image.
A: Around 60 to 80 inches is a practical target for many compact projectors if the room is dark and seating is fairly close. Going larger can feel immersive, but brightness and perceived sharpness usually drop as the image spreads out.
A: It is generally a better fit for casual movies, kids' content and video playback than fine text work. Spreadsheets and small fonts are harder to read on compact projectors, especially if the image is large or the room is not fully dim.
A: For a 60 to 80 inch picture, allow roughly 1.8 to 2.5 metres as a starting guide for a compact home projector. Larger images need more distance and can reduce perceived brightness, so room depth matters before buying.
