At a glance
These large vacuum storage bags are a practical option for households wanting to store bulky doonas, blankets, pillows and seasonal clothing with less clutter. They suit families and anyone rotating linen or winter wear, with clear reusable bags and vacuum compatibility making storage simple. Their main strength is strong space reduction of up to 75%, but they are best for soft items rather than structured garments or frequent-access storage.

Things to consider

Family suitability
Well suited to families managing spare bedding, seasonal textiles and shared storage spaces
Portability rating
7/10 - lightweight and easy to move when empty, though packed bags can become bulky depending on contents
Space saving score
9/10 - vacuum compression can reduce soft-item storage volume by up to 75%
Durability vs category average
7/10 - reusable airtight design is a practical step up from disposable storage options, but not as robust as rigid storage solutions
Ease of cleaning
8/10 - smooth clear surface is simple to wipe down and inspect for dust or residue
Key benefits
- Vacuum Compression: Reduces storage volume by up to 75% for bulky soft items, helping free up wardrobe, cupboard or under-bed space.
- Large Capacity Format: Better suited to doonas, blankets, pillows and larger linen pieces than smaller storage bags.
- Airtight Seal: Helps protect stored contents from dust, moisture and pests during longer-term storage.
- Reusable Construction: Designed to be used again for seasonal clothing swaps and ongoing household organisation.
- Clear Bag Design: Makes it easier to identify stored contents without opening each bag.
- Vacuum Cleaner Compatibility: Works with most household vacuum cleaners for straightforward sealing at home.
- Two-Bag Pack: Gives you more flexibility to separate bedding, clothing or guest linen into different storage sets.
- 2 Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Adds extra peace of mind for regular home storage use.
Q: Will a doona or quilt fit in these large storage bags
A: Yes. Each Pacifica VL810 bag measures 80cm wide, 38cm high and 100cm deep, so it is sized for bulky soft items such as doonas, blankets and pillows. It is not designed for rigid storage boxes or sharply edged items.
Q: Do these bags need a special vacuum cleaner to seal
A: No. The valve is designed to work with most household vacuum cleaners, so a special machine is not required. These bags rely on vacuum suction to compress and seal, so they are not the right choice if you want hand-roll storage bags.
Q: Are they mainly for bedding or also for smaller clothes
A: They are mainly suited to bulky soft items such as bedding, jumpers and seasonal clothing. The large format gives more room for linen and doonas, but it can be less practical than a smaller bag if you only need to store a few garments.
Q: Can Pacifica VL810 bags stay sealed for long term storage
A: Yes. Pacifica VL810 uses an airtight design that is intended for longer-term storage of spare bedding and seasonal textiles. The seal will hold best when the zip is fully closed, the valve is clear and the bag is not overfilled.
Q: How many bags come in the Pacifica VL810 pack
A: The Pacifica VL810 pack includes 2 large clear vacuum storage bags. Each bag measures 80cm wide, 38cm high and 100cm deep, which is useful if you want to split bedding, jumpers or seasonal clothing into separate bags.
Q: Will the clear bag make it easier to identify contents
A: Yes. The clear design lets you see what is packed inside without opening the bag, which is useful when storing spare bedding or rotating seasonal clothing. It is a storage convenience feature rather than a label or inventory system.
