    Great value Cook Top.

Purchased for a granny flat build. Comes with a standard 3 year manufacturers warranty but grabbed the promo offered which doubled it to 6 years. Very Happy!

Q: Will the Omega OCC604TZ fit into a standard 60cm cooktop cut-out?

A: It suits a 560 x 490 mm bench cut-out, which is a common size for 60cm cooktops. Not every 60cm model uses the same cut-out, and this unit also requires a 25 Amp hardwired connection. Discuss with your electrician.

Q: Does the Omega OCC604TZ need special cookware to work properly?

A: No, it does not need induction-only cookware, but flat-based pots and pans are the best match for this ceramic surface. Smooth, stable bases help heat more evenly and are less likely to mark or scratch the glass over time.

Q: How does this ceramic cooktop compare with induction for heat response?

A: A ceramic cooktop is usually slower to heat up and cool down than induction, because the glass retains warmth after cooking. This model helps with control through 9 power levels, and the residual heat indicator shows when a zone is still hot.

Q: Can the controls be locked to stop children changing the settings?

A: Yes, this model has a child safety lock that prevents changes through the touch controls when activated. It is useful in family kitchens, but the surface can still stay hot after cooking, so the residual heat indicator remains important.

Q: Is the 99 minute timer on the Omega OCC604TZ just a reminder, or does it work with a cooking zone?

A: It includes a 99 minute zone timer, so it is designed to work with a cooking zone rather than acting only as a separate kitchen reminder. The listed specs do not confirm independent timers on all four zones at the same time.
