At a glance
The Oliveri Sonetto Large Single Bowl Sink is a premium topmount stainless steel sink designed for households that regularly wash large pots, pans and oven trays. Its 39 L bowl, durable 304 grade 18/10 steel and practical accessory compatibility make it versatile for everyday cooking spaces. The main limitation is that a single-bowl layout offers less task separation than double-bowl alternatives.
What it’s great for
- Washing large cookware
- Family meal prep
- Replacement kitchen upgrades
- Everyday dishwashing
- Cleaning oven trays
Where it works best
- Family kitchens
- Renovation projects
- Laminate benchtops
- Busy home kitchens
- Homes needing a topmount sink
Who it’s for
- Home cooks
- Families
- Renovators
- Households replacing an existing sink
- People who wash bulky cookware regularly
Things to consider
The large single-bowl design is excellent for bulky items, but it does not provide the separate washing and rinsing zones that some double-bowl or workstation-style sinks offer.
Family suitability
Well suited to small to medium families and keen home cooks who need one large washing area for bulky cookware.
Ease of cleaning score
8/10 - Brushed stainless steel is straightforward to wipe down, and the single-bowl layout means fewer internal corners than multi-bowl designs.
Apartment vs house fit
Best for houses and larger apartments where a generous single bowl is preferred over split-bowl flexibility.
Noise reduction rating
6/10 - The 1.2 mm stainless steel construction should feel solid, but no dedicated sound-deadening features are specified.
Durability vs category average
8/10 - The 304 grade 18/10 stainless steel and 1.2 mm thickness position it above many standard everyday sink options.
Key benefits
- 39 L Bowl Capacity: Gives you more room to wash large pots, pans and oven trays in one space.
- Single Bowl Layout: Makes it easier to handle oversized cookware without a divider getting in the way.
- Topmount Installation: Suits benchtops with compatible cut-out sizes and can be practical for replacement projects.
- 304 Grade 18/10 Stainless Steel: Offers strong day-to-day resistance to wear and a quality finish for long-term kitchen use.
- 1.2 mm Steel Thickness: Provides a sturdier feel than lighter-gauge sink options.
- Brushed Stainless Steel Finish: Helps the sink pair neatly with a wide range of tapware and kitchen styles.
- Unique Drainer Design: Adds extra practicality around washing and food preparation tasks.
- Accessory Compatibility: Optional accessories such as the AC14 basket waste and ACP101 prep board can expand prep and cleaning flexibility.
Q: Will this sink suit replacing an existing topmount kitchen sink
A: Yes. The Oliveri Sonetto SN1051 is a topmount sink, so it can suit replacement projects where the benchtop already has a compatible cut-out. It is a better match for existing topmount layouts than a project planned around undermount installation.
Q: Is a single large bowl better for oven trays and stockpots
A: Yes. The single bowl gives bulky cookware one open washing area, so oven trays and large pots are easier to manoeuvre than in a divided sink. The trade-off is less separation for soaking in one side while rinsing in the other.
Q: How much water can the Oliveri Sonetto SN1051 bowl hold
A: Oliveri Sonetto SN1051 has a 39L bowl capacity. That gives more usable room for washing roasting dishes, stockpots and larger prep items in one space, rather than splitting them across two smaller bowl sections.
Q: What does 304 grade 18/10 stainless steel mean for daily use
A: Oliveri Sonetto SN1051 uses 304 grade 18/10 stainless steel, which is a common kitchen sink material for everyday corrosion resistance. The 1.2mm construction also gives it a sturdier feel than many thinner budget stainless sinks.
Q: Can I use accessories with the Oliveri Sonetto SN1051 sink
A: Yes. Oliveri lists optional accessories including the AC14 basket waste and ACP101 prep board for this sink. They add prep and clean-up flexibility, but they are optional extras rather than standard inclusions with the bowl itself.
