Don't be fooled by this small unit. Perfect for small spaces. Moves easily from one room to another. Not to noisy either.

At a glance
This 2.6kW portable air conditioner is a practical cooling option for small rooms up to 20m2, such as bedrooms or studies. It suits renters and households wanting flexible room-to-room cooling, with Wi-Fi app control, simple fan settings, and an included window kit. Its main limitation is the 64dBA noise level, which is noticeable compared with quieter premium fixed systems.

Room size suitability
Up to 20m2
Portability rating
8/10 - compact portable format makes it suitable for moving between smaller rooms.
Noise level vs category average
5/10 - 64dBA is typical for a portable air conditioner but more noticeable than quieter premium alternatives.
Energy efficiency score
5/10 - no inverter or star rating information provided, so efficiency appears standard for a non-inverter portable unit.
Ease of installation
8/10 - portable setup is straightforward, and the included window kit helps with quicker installation.
Key benefits
- 2.6kW Cooling Capacity: Provides effective cooling for enclosed rooms up to 20m2, making it well suited to smaller everyday spaces.
- Portable Design: Easy to move between rooms for flexible cooling where you need it most.
- Wi-Fi Enabled Control: Lets you start or adjust cooling remotely from a compatible app before you get home.
- 24 Hour Timer: Helps schedule operation around your day or overnight use without manual switching.
- Remote Control: Makes it easier to change settings from across the room.
- Auto, Low and High Fan Speeds: Gives simple airflow options to balance comfort and cooling intensity.
- Window Kit Included: Supports proper venting out of the box for faster setup.
- 3 Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Adds longer-term ownership confidence for regular seasonal use.
Q: Does this portable air conditioner need to be vented out a window
A: Yes. This portable air conditioner needs the included window kit so hot air can be vented outside while it cools. It is not designed to run as a fully unvented unit, so performance will drop if the exhaust is not set up properly.
Q: Is 64dBA too loud for sleeping in a small bedroom
A: Olimpia Splendid COMPACT10WIFI is usable in a bedroom, but 64dBA is not especially quiet for overnight operation. Light sleepers may notice the fan and compressor noise, so a lower-noise model may suit better if quiet running matters most.
Q: Can I control the air conditioner when I am away from home
A: Yes. Wi-Fi lets you start or adjust cooling from a compatible app before you get home, which is useful for pre-cooling one room. It is not listed as compatible with broader smart home platforms, so app control is the main remote option.
Q: Will it cool more than one room at the same time
A: No. Olimpia Splendid COMPACT10WIFI is designed to cool the room it is placed in, not multiple rooms at once. Its portable build makes it easier to move between spaces, but each room still needs separate venting when you relocate it.
Q: Does this model also have a heating mode for winter
A: No. Olimpia Splendid COMPACT10WIFI is a portable air conditioner with cooling only. It suits buyers who want spot cooling in a small enclosed room, rather than a reverse-cycle unit for both summer and winter use.
