Because of unprecedented demand, all washing machines have been allocated and this round of the program has closed.
Applications for washing machines that have already been submitted will continue to be reviewed. Due to high interest, this may take up to 10 business days.

How to apply
Eligible applicants in NSW can replace their top load Washer with a subsidised energy efficient front load Washer. Click to check eligibility.
The approval process is managed by the NSW Government through a web form application hosted on their website.
Processing eligible orders
After applying online via the NSW Government's website, if eligible your order will be sent to The Good Guys Commercial department for payment.
You will receive an SMS to your mobile phone from The Good Guys Commercial with a secure payment link, you will have 21 days to make payment.
Your order will be allocated once payment is made.
When payment is received The Good Guys Commercial will contact you via SMS/ email, to book in a date for delivery.
For regional areas, you will be contacted by phone to coordinate a time when we will be in your area.
Once you washer is delivered, you will receive a digital Tax invoice via SMS or e-mail confirming the total cost of the washing machine, including delivery.
If you are unable to pay your contribution online via the payment link please email The Good Guys Commercial at commercialsupport@thegoodguys.com.au or call on 1300 225 564 from 9am to 5pm, Monday to Friday.
Delivery and install
The Good Guys Commercial will deliver and install your washing machine with delivery costs included in the purchase cost. Delivery is a mandatory part of the program. The Good Guys Commercial will remove your old top load washing machine for recycling when they deliver your new machine.
Regional, country and remote areas
For regional, country and remote areas deliveries operate on a weekly schedule. Customers will be contacted over the phone, within two business days prior to delivery date to confirm details and schedule your delivery. You will also receive a call on the day of delivery to provide an estimated delivery window. To check if your postcode is in a regional area please click here.

Eligible water efficient Washing Machine
The Westinghouse 8kg Front Load Washer (600W x 660D x 850H mm) is an eligible model for the NSW Household Washing Machine Exchange Program. This washer is water efficient with a 4.5 star WELS rating and energy efficient, with a 4 star energy rating. This washing machine, with a 2 step start process, comes packed with handy features like quick wash and time adjust (perfect for busy families) and is capable of operating with cold water only. Plus, the inverter motor gives this washer improved durability and can adjust the drum speed to the weight of the load, improving efficiency and providing a more powerful wash.

To ensure the most efficient completion of all orders, in some cases, a substitute model from Fisher & Paykel (WH8060J3), which is of similar size (600W x 590D x 850H) and features (4.5 star WELS, 4-star energy), will be delivered.
Please note: The total cost to eligible customers is $250 including GST.

NSW Household Washing Machine Exchange Program FAQs
The Washing Machine Exchange Program helps low-income households benefit by upgrading their inefficient top loader washing machine to a water and energy efficient frontload model at a subsidised price to help save water and ease the cost of living.
To meet the eligibility criteria for the Washing Machine Exchange Program you must:
Be a resident of NSW
Be more than 18 years old
Hold a valid Pensioner Concession Card, Health Care Card* or Low Income Card from Centrelink or Department of Veteran Affairs
Have an existing top-loading washing machine to exchange.
*A Commonwealth Seniors Health Card is not sufficient for this offer.
No. The purchase must be made after the application is fully approved.
After you have applied and been approved, you will need to make the payment of $250 in order to secure your front load washer. You will receive a payment link via SMS or an email to make this payment.
After you have applied and been approved you have 21 days to make the payment of $250. If payment is not made in the 21 days your order will be cancelled and you will need to reapply by visiting the application page.
When your item is ready for delivery a SMS/ email will be sent for you to book in your delivery, on a day that will suit you. You will need to be home to take this delivery. On the morning of your delivery, you will be advised an approximate time frame.

You will also receive a call on the day of delivery to provide an estimated delivery window. If you’re not home on the day of delivery, you will be rescheduled for a future date.
As it is part of the agreed program, our delivery drivers must pick up your top loader washer, this machine must be empty and a clear path for the drivers to pick this up and take it away.
To enable a smooth delivery of your appliance, please ensure;
There is clear access along the intended path of the appliance
You or another authorised person is present for delivery (appliances cannot be left without an authorised signature)
The delivery vehicle can park adjacent to your premises
Secure any pets for the duration of the delivery
For an existing appliance that the delivery team are removing, please disconnect, empty and clean, prior to the arrival of the delivery team. Please do not remove the appliance from its current location.

The Good Guys Commercial will be delivering all the front load washers from our Home Delivery Centre not the local stores.
Please contact The Good Guys Commercial on 1300 225 564. By letting us know as soon as you can that your availability for delivery has changed we will be able to work with the delivery drivers and organise a new day for you.
As mentioned on the application page, delivery for these washers can take up to 12 weeks from the date we receive your payment. The Good Guys Commercial will be supplying the new washer in order of customers payment date, not the application date.
No. As per the application form you have completed, we must collect a top loader washer at the time of the delivery.

This program will only supply an 8kg front loader and we cannot change this size for you.
This program will be open until the total number of washing machines for this round have been exhausted. Based on the initial round it is highly likely this will be reached within 2 weeks of opening.
Many modern front‑load washers are designed with an internal heater that warms the incoming cold water to the precise temperature required for each cycle. Because the machine can heat the water itself, a hot water hose is not needed.
