A BIG upgrade
I’ve been using the Ninja Slushi Max for a few weeks now after upgrading from the original Ninja Slushi, and overall I’m really impressed with it. The first thing I noticed is the increased capacity. Being able to make larger batches is incredibly convenient, especially when making drinks for the whole family or when entertaining. It also seems noticeably faster than my original machine, reaching the perfect slushy consistency in less time, which has been a pleasant surprise. One feature I wasn’t expecting, but actually appreciate, is the built-in safety function during the cleaning cycle. I discovered that if the water is too hot, the machine simply won’t start. At first I thought something was wrong, but I soon realised it’s a clever way to protect the machine from excessive temperatures. Another improvement I’ve noticed is the quality of the clear vessel. My original Ninja Slushi’s canister seemed to pick up marks and staining fairly quickly, whereas the Slushi Max still looks brand new after several weeks of regular use. It’s a small detail, but it really helps the machine continue to look premium. No product is perfect, though. The Slushi Max is definitely louder than the original model. It’s not enough to put me off using it, but the difference is noticeable. Because it’s significantly larger, the vessel also takes a little more effort to clean, and the machine requires considerably more bench space. If you have a smaller kitchen, that’s something worth keeping in mind. Overall, though, I think the upgrades far outweigh the drawbacks. The larger capacity, faster performance, improved durability of the canister, and thoughtful safety features make the Ninja Slushi Max a worthwhile upgrade. If you’re already enjoying the original Ninja Slushi and have the space for it, I’d happily recommend making the jump to the Max.
