Quality product
The Good Guys are a great retailer. The service is exceptional, the staff are helpful and empathetic and never employ 'hard sell' tactics. It is always a pleasure to shop there and this item was no exception. The pen is excellent and, following the advice of the sales staff, does exactly what was needed. Thank-you!

Smooth writing
A great stylus. Charges quickly (don't forget to buy the separate charger if you need one). Very light to hold. The flat design takes a bit of getting used to, especially when using the older round surface pen (which I loved). It does allow for longer use without hand fatigue setting in due to the weightless feel. Charging of the pen is super-fast. I was very impressed with the price Good Guys were selling it for. Easily the best price in my area.

Great Adjunct to Any Microsoft Surface Device
This really adds to the capabilities of any of the Microsoft Surface devices. It charges either in the dock built into the keyboard of the Surface Pro X, 8 and 9. Alternatively there is a small charging dock available separately when using this pen with any of the other Surface devices.

Companion to Surface
This is the perfect companion to any of the Microsoft Surface devices. The pen is charged in the Pro X, 8 and 9 keyboards, or you can buy a separate charger dock. Recommended.

Q: Which Surface devices is the Surface Slim Pen 2 compatible with?
A: It is listed for a wide range of Surface devices, including Surface Pro 3 to Surface Pro 9, Surface Go, Surface Laptop, Surface Book, Surface Studio, Surface Duo and Surface Hub 2S. It is not listed for non-Surface tablets.
Q: Does the Surface Slim Pen 2 come with a charger in the box?
A: No. The box includes the Surface Slim Pen, a Quick Start Guide, and safety and warranty documents. If your Surface device does not provide charging for the pen, a separate charging accessory may be needed.
Q: Can this pen be used with non-Surface tablets or phones?
A: No. This pen is listed for compatible Microsoft Surface devices, including Surface Duo and Surface Duo 2, rather than general Android tablets, iPads, or other non-Surface models. Bluetooth pairing does not make it universal.
Q: How do the buttons on the Surface Slim Pen 2 work?
A: The Surface Slim Pen 2 includes a pen tip for writing, a side button for right-click and select functions, plus an eraser and top button. It also has an LED light, so the controls go beyond basic tap input.
Q: Is the Surface Slim Pen 2 rechargeable or battery powered?
A: The Surface Slim Pen 2 uses a rechargeable lithium-ion battery. It is designed to stay ready for everyday use with all-day battery life, so there is no disposable battery to replace between writing or drawing sessions.
Q: Does the pen need Bluetooth to pair with a Surface device?
A: Yes. Microsoft Surface Slim Pen 2 uses Bluetooth Wireless 5.0 Technology for pairing with supported devices. Pairing support still depends on the Surface model being on the compatibility list, not simply having Bluetooth built in.
