Great Value Wireless Gaming Mouse
The Logitech G305 Lightspeed is a pretty solid wireless gaming mouse. It feels responsive with no noticeable lag and it’s been reliable for gaming in my experience. Battery life is really good, I have not charged the battery since purchasing the mouse 2 months ago. It’s lightweight and simple, nothing flashy, but it does the job well.

Well weighted and well priced wireless mouse. Great cursor control speed options and easy to work within CAD environment. At half price I bought three of these in alternate colours. No confusion as to what mouse belongs to who !!

Q: How does the Logitech G305 connect, and does it have Bluetooth?
A: It connects through Logitech's LIGHTSPEED USB receiver, not Bluetooth. That gives a dedicated low-latency wireless link for gaming, but it also means a free USB-A port is needed on the computer or dock.
Q: Do I need software to use the Logitech G305?
A: No, the G305 works as a standard mouse as soon as the USB receiver is plugged in. Logitech G HUB is only needed if you want to change DPI, reassign buttons, or save profiles for use on another compatible PC.
Q: Does the Logitech G305 recharge by USB, or does it use replaceable batteries?
A: It uses a single AA battery rather than charging over USB. Logitech rates it for 250 hours of continuous gaming on one battery, so there is no cable charging option and a spare AA is the practical backup.
Q: Can the Logitech G305 save my settings in the mouse itself?
A: Yes, it can store up to 5 onboard profiles with up to 5 DPI levels in each profile. That is useful if you move between PCs, because your key sensitivity settings can travel with the mouse instead of staying in software only.
Q: Is the Logitech G305 sensor suitable for fast FPS games or more for casual use?
A: It is built for serious gaming, with a HERO optical sensor that tracks from 200 to 12,000 DPI and uses zero smoothing, filtering or acceleration. That matters most in FPS titles where consistent flicks and small aim corrections are critical.
