At a glance
The Loewe klang s1 is a premium smart clock radio designed for home listeners who want radio, streaming and easy bedside use in one compact unit. It suits bedrooms, kitchens and studies thanks to its dimmable display, app control and clear 2 x 20W sound. Its main limitation is the lack of battery backup or portable battery power, so it is best kept in a fixed mains-powered spot.

Key benefits
- FM, DAB+ and internet radio: Gives you access to local stations as well as a wider range of international radio and podcasts.
- Spotify integration: Lets you access music directly from the radio for simpler everyday listening.
- Bluetooth 4.2: Streams audio wirelessly from your phone or tablet without extra cables.
- 3.2 inch dimmable display: Stays easy to read in daylight and less intrusive at night beside the bed.
- App control: Makes it easier to adjust settings and playback from your phone across the room.
- Bass reflex speaker design: Helps deliver fuller, clearer sound for casual music and radio listening.
- 2 x 20W total output: Provides enough power for room-filling sound in typical bedroom, kitchen or study spaces.
- 67-20000Hz frequency response: Covers a broad audio range for clear vocals, talkback and music playback.
Q: Does Spotify work directly on this radio or through Bluetooth?
A: Yes. Loewe KLANG S1 has Spotify integrated, so it can access Spotify as a built-in source rather than relying on Bluetooth from a phone. Bluetooth is still useful for playing other audio from a compatible phone or tablet.
Q: Can it play internet radio and podcasts without local stations?
A: Yes. Loewe KLANG S1 can access internet radio and podcasts over Wi-Fi, so listening is not limited to local FM or DAB+ broadcasts. FM and DAB+ remain available when you want local radio without using internet streams.
Q: Will Bluetooth on this model connect to wireless headphones?
A: Bluetooth on Loewe KLANG S1 is described for streaming audio from a compatible phone or tablet to the radio. Wireless headphone output is not listed for this model, so treat it as a Bluetooth receiver for playback rather than a transmitter.
Q: Is this radio powerful enough for a kitchen or study?
A: Yes. Loewe KLANG S1 has 2x 20W output with a bass reflex speaker setup, which suits everyday listening in spaces like a kitchen, bedroom or study. It is designed as a tabletop home radio, not a portable speaker for use away from power.
