Key benefits
- 180w total output: Delivers fuller, room-filling sound with enough power for movies, music and everyday TV listening in medium to larger spaces.
- Multichannel audio support: Helps create a more immersive home theatre experience with better separation than a basic single-room speaker.
- Compact cabinet: Fits more easily on a shelf, entertainment unit or sideboard without demanding much floor space.
- Dual-band wi-fi connectivity: Supports stable wireless streaming from phones, tablets and computers across common home network setups.
- Bluetooth 4.2: Provides simple direct playback from compatible mobile devices when you want a quick connection without using Wi-Fi.
- Airplay 2 support: Makes it easy for Apple users to stream audio from compatible devices and integrate with existing Apple-based listening setups.
- Google chromecast support: Lets compatible apps cast music and audio directly to the speaker for convenient everyday streaming.
- Dts play-fi compatibility: Expands access to streaming services and multi-room audio options for more flexible listening around the home.
Q: Does the Loewe klang mr5 include a remote control in the box
A: No. Loewe klang mr5 is designed around app and wireless playback rather than a handheld remote. If you prefer changing music from the lounge without using a phone or tablet, that is a limitation to factor in.
Q: Can one speaker create stereo sound on its own
A: No. One Loewe klang mr5 works as a single speaker. To get left and right stereo separation with a wider soundstage, two units need to be paired, which is the better setup for more deliberate music listening.
Q: Is Wi-Fi better than Bluetooth for streaming on this speaker
A: Yes. Wi-Fi gives Loewe klang mr5 access to AirPlay 2, Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi, which is the better fit for home streaming and multi-room use. Bluetooth 4.2 is more for quick direct playback from a nearby device.
Q: Will this speaker suit a medium or larger open-plan room
A: Yes. Loewe klang mr5 is aimed at medium to larger rooms and has 180W total output for fuller sound in a main living area. In a very open space, two speakers generally make more sense if you want broader stereo spread.
Q: Can Apple and Android devices both stream to this speaker
A: Yes. Apple devices can stream using AirPlay 2, while Android and many other devices can use Chromecast or Bluetooth 4.2. That gives more flexibility than a speaker locked to a single wireless platform.
Q: Can it be used as part of a multi-room audio setup
A: Yes. Loewe klang mr5 supports AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi, so it can fit into several multi-room setups. The exact grouping experience depends on which wireless platform and apps are already used at home.
