At a glance
The Loewe PF KLANG MR3 Speaker is a smart wireless speaker designed for music streaming and everyday home audio in bedrooms, studies or medium living spaces. Its strengths are room-filling 150W output, broad streaming support and simple wireless use. A key limitation is that it is a single-cabinet speaker, so it will not deliver the same surround separation as a full multi-speaker home theatre setup.

Key benefits
- 150W Output: Delivers strong sound performance that can comfortably fill bedrooms, studies and medium living spaces.
- Multichannel Audio: Creates a fuller, more expansive presentation than a basic single-driver speaker for music and general home audio.
- Wi-Fi Streaming: Lets you stream music directly without relying only on a wired connection.
- Bluetooth 4.2: Makes it easy to play audio wirelessly from compatible phones and tablets.
- Apple AirPlay 2: Supports convenient streaming from compatible Apple devices and multi-room playback setups.
- Google Chromecast: Gives compatible users a simple way to cast music and audio from supported apps.
- DTS Play-Fi: Expands streaming options and supports access to services such as Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer and internet radio.
- Compact Cabinet Size: Fits more easily into smaller rooms and shelves while still offering substantial sound.
Q: Can this speaker replace a full surround sound home theatre setup?
A: No. Loewe PF KLANG MR3 is a single smart speaker with multichannel sound, not a complete surround package with separate rear speakers and advanced home theatre processing. It suits music and general TV audio better than a true cinema-style setup.
Q: Does the Loewe klang mr3 need a remote control?
A: No. The Loewe klang mr3 does not include a remote control, so playback is mainly handled from a phone or tablet over Bluetooth or Wi-Fi. That suits streaming use, but it is less convenient if you want dedicated handheld controls.
Q: Will it stream over Wi-Fi without my phone staying connected?
A: Yes. Loewe PF KLANG MR3 supports Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi, so compatible services can stream over Wi-Fi once playback starts. That is more flexible than basic Bluetooth mirroring from a nearby device.
Q: Is this speaker better suited to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth streaming?
A: Both work, but they suit different use cases. Wi-Fi is the better fit for direct streaming services and multi-room playback, while Bluetooth 4.2 is the simpler option for quick audio from a phone or tablet without joining the home network.
Q: Will the klang mr3 fit on a shelf or bedside table?
A: Yes, in many cases. The Loewe klang mr3 is 32.1cm high, 19.6cm wide and 18.7cm deep, so it fits many shelves, consoles and bedside tables, though the height matters more than the width if space is tight under cabinetry or décor.
Q: Can I stream from both iPhone and Android devices?
A: Yes. This speaker supports Apple AirPlay 2 for Apple devices, Google Chromecast for many Android setups, and Bluetooth for broad device compatibility. That gives more than one way to connect, depending on the apps and network you use at home.
