It suits listeners who want easy access to music services, multi-room audio and soundbar expansion without a bulky setup. Things to consider
With 30W output and a compact single-speaker design, it is better suited to smaller spaces and everyday streaming than to filling larger rooms with powerful cinematic sound.
Cinematic experience score
6/10 - good for compact surround expansion and casual TV audio, but limited output reduces big-room cinema impact.
Room size suitability
Best for small rooms such as bedrooms, studies and compact living areas
Music vs movie performance
Stronger for music streaming and everyday listening than for full-scale movie sound on its own
Ease of setup rating
8/10 - wireless streaming support and included wall mount make placement and day-to-day use straightforward.
Multi-room flexibility
8/10 - works well as a standalone speaker, in multi-room audio, or as a wireless satellite with compatible Loewe soundbars.
Key benefits
- 30W Multichannel Sound: Delivers clear everyday audio for music, streaming and TV use in smaller rooms.
- Compact Cabinet: Fits neatly on shelves, desks or wall-mounted positions where space is limited.
- Wi-Fi Streaming: Supports stable wireless playback across compatible home networks without needing a wired source.
- Apple AirPlay 2 Support: Makes it easy for Apple users to stream audio directly from compatible devices.
- Google Chromecast Support: Lets Android and compatible app users cast music simply from supported services.
- DTS Play-Fi Compatibility: Adds flexible access to multi-room listening and a wide range of streaming services.
- WDAL 2.0 Wireless Satellite Use: Can expand a compatible Loewe soundbar setup without extra speaker cabling across the room.
- Included Wall Mount: Gives you an out-of-the-box option for cleaner placement in smaller spaces.
Q: Can I connect a TV directly to this speaker?
A: No. Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER lists Bluetooth 4.2 and Wi-Fi connections only, with no HDMI, optical or 3.5mm input named. It is better suited to wireless streaming or use with compatible Loewe soundbar setups than direct TV cabling.
Q: Is the Klang MR1 powerful enough for a large room?
A: No. Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER has 30W output, which is better matched to bedrooms, studies and smaller living areas than large open rooms. For bigger spaces, expect more modest volume and less impact from a single speaker on its own.
Q: Does it work without Wi-Fi for everyday listening?
A: Yes. Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER can stream over Bluetooth 4.2 without relying on home Wi-Fi. Wi-Fi is still needed for features such as AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast, DTS Play-Fi and broader multiroom use across the home.
Q: Will this speaker work as rear surrounds with a soundbar?
A: Yes. Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER can act as a wireless satellite through WDAL 2.0 with compatible Loewe soundbars. That does not mean universal soundbar support, so the surround role depends on using a Loewe setup that supports WDAL 2.0.
Q: What controls this speaker if there is no remote?
A: Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER does not include a remote control. Day-to-day use is centred on wireless playback through Bluetooth or Wi-Fi streaming services, so it suits app-based or cast-based listening more than a traditional remote-led setup.
Q: Can it stream Spotify and other services directly?
A: Yes. Loewe PF KLANG MR1 SPEAKER supports Apple AirPlay 2, Google Chromecast and DTS Play-Fi, with access to services including Spotify, Amazon Music, Tidal, Deezer and Internet radio. The exact playback method depends on the service and platform used.
