The best mix of power/abilities vs battery life - for use as a general and gaming computer
Plenty of power, ram, storage, good graphics and reasonable battery life when used for gaming. On special when I purchased so hard to go past. Use a Lenovo for business with no regrets

Amazing Laptop for the money!
I bought this Lenovo laptop mostly to be used for 3D printing software like slicer and design programs, the quick startup and processing is amazing for this. I'm yet to try any form of gaming on the laptop, but considering it is a gaming laptop I'm sure it'll handle most new games adequately. It's super quiet and pretty lightweight and its sleek low profile design looks amazing even just sitting on the desk. The backlit keyboard is also a great feature when you're too lazy to turn on a light and the display looks super crisp (to my eyes atleast!) Overall, I think you'd be hard pressed to find anything negative or bad about this laptop and it's definitely a great buy if you can get it in a sale like I did!

Things to consider
Compared with newer mid-range or premium gaming laptops, it is better suited to esports titles and moderate settings rather than demanding AAA games at high visual presets.
Aaa gaming suitability score
5.5/10 - Suitable for lighter or older AAA titles and reduced settings, but not ideal for demanding new releases at high detail.
Portability rating
6/10 - Portable enough for regular travel between home and campus, though still more of a carry-and-set-up gaming laptop than an ultra-light device.
Esports performance score
7.5/10 - A solid fit for competitive games such as shooters and MOBAs where moderate to strong frame rates matter more than maximum visual settings.
Content creation suitability
Best for light photo editing, student projects, basic video work and general creative tasks rather than heavy professional production workflows.
Cooling efficiency vs category
6.5/10 - Typical for a value gaming laptop, with cooling suited to mainstream gaming loads rather than sustained high-end performance.
Key benefits
- 15.6-inch display: Gives you a practical screen size for gaming, study and everyday use without taking up as much desk space as larger models.
- Intel Core i5 platform: Delivers dependable everyday performance for gaming, web use, documents, streaming and general multitasking.
- 24GB memory: Helps keep multiple apps, browser tabs and background tasks running smoothly while you work or play.
- 1TB solid state storage: Provides fast system responsiveness and generous room for games, files and creative projects.
- Dedicated GeForce RTX graphics: Supports smoother gameplay than standard integrated graphics and is better suited to modern game engines.
- LOQ gaming design: Built for users who want a laptop that can handle both gaming sessions and everyday computing in one device.
- Mainstream gaming balance: A good match for buyers who want playable gaming performance without stepping up to a more expensive enthusiast model.
- All-round versatility: Suits a mix of gaming, classes, entertainment and home productivity, reducing the need for separate devices.
Q: Is the Lenovo LOQ with RTX 2050 4GB suitable for modern games?
A: Yes. The GeForce RTX 2050 is suitable for esports titles and many newer games at 1080p with medium settings, but the 4GB of video memory can limit texture quality in more demanding AAA releases and newer ray traced games.
Q: What does 24GB of RAM change in day to day use on this Lenovo LOQ?
A: It gives this LOQ more headroom for multitasking than a typical 16GB gaming laptop. Running a game alongside Discord, a browser with many tabs, school apps or light editing software should feel smoother, with less swapping to storage.
Q: Is 1TB of storage enough for a gaming laptop like this?
A: Yes. A 1TB drive is a practical size for a mixed study, work and gaming setup, with room for Windows, everyday apps and several large games. Space can still fill quickly if the library includes many 80GB to 150GB titles.
Q: Can this Lenovo LOQ handle school, uni or office work as well as gaming?
A: Yes. An Intel Core i5 paired with 24GB RAM makes it well suited to documents, web research, video calls and spreadsheets, while the dedicated RTX graphics adds gaming and creative software support that basic laptops usually lack.
Q: Is the RTX 2050 in this laptop good for video editing or creative apps?
A: Yes, for light to moderate creative work. The dedicated NVIDIA graphics can help with apps that use GPU acceleration, but 4GB of VRAM is better suited to 1080p projects and lighter effects than heavier 4K timelines or complex 3D scenes.
Q: Does this Lenovo LOQ support ray tracing and DLSS style features in games?
A: Yes. RTX class graphics means hardware ray tracing and NVIDIA AI upscaling features are supported where the game offers them, but on an RTX 2050 they are best treated as visual extras rather than settings for maximum frame rates.
