  Poor good guys service - delayed delivery and refund

  After spending a lot of time in store deciding which laptop to buy I was sold on this one buy the sales assistant- only to then discover the store had none in stock. The online store however did, and noting a 'delivery by' date only a few days away I proceeded with an online purchase (with assistance of team members at the store). However the day prior to the expected delivery I received an email advising that there were delays and saying they would let me know once they had an updated eta (which later turned out to be over a month away). As I purchased during black Friday sales I was prevented from shopping around at other outlets to get a similar product for similar price After speaking with the support team they identified an item in store and arranged to ship it to me. But rather than allocating an item from the store 14km away from me they allocated one on the Gold Coast (I am in Perth) - and with a delivery time of 14 days. I contacted them again and asked for a refund so I could just grab the one from my local store, but they would not refund be auae it had been given to their courier already (even though the courier was not actively transporting it). So I needed to pay out of pocket for a second laptop while I waited for the first to be returned fo their store. But even when it was returned no refund was processed, leaving me to follow it up to secure the refund. I have asked for confirmation the refund was processed which I was told would be sent, but has not been. The product is also not what I expected in terms of just being really tinny - the keys reverberate whereas the ones in the store did not.

  Awesome Customer Support

  We bought this laptop for my sister’s birthday, which is very close to Christmas (the 21st). The original ETA was December 9th, but there was an understandable delay due to the Christmas period and the ETA changed to unknown. When I contacted The Good Guys and explained how important it was that we received it before the 21st, they went above and beyond — cancelling the original supplier and shipping directly from their warehouse so it arrived right on time. My sister is absolutely thrilled with the laptop! Its dedicated graphics make it a great lightweight gaming machine and it even handles less demanding 3D games with ease plus wall the games she loves such a Slay the Spire with a snappy refresh rate. We got it for under $850! Everywhere else was charging closer to $1400.

  Value for money!

  One of the best budget buys I’ve ever made! Excellent graphics, speed & clarity. & relatively light weight for its size Fast easy setup. Pretty silent cooling fans. The only thing I’ve not tried was the battery life. Yet to find test that out, so far so good!
