Lenovo legion 5i i7 laptop purchasing was easy on line. pick up was interesting at Cockburn Good Guys, as I had to go where trucks are loading/off loading. But all went well on pick up. Laptop is performing well from start to present time.

The Lenovo Legion 5i is a versatile gaming laptop for players, students and everyday users who want solid gaming power without stepping into ultra-premium pricing. It offers smooth gameplay, a spacious 1TB drive and a practical 15.3-inch display for work and entertainment. Its main limitation is that 16GB memory and a WUXGA panel are good rather than top-tier for heavy creator workflows or high-end competitive setups.
It is a strong all-rounder, but buyers wanting a higher-resolution display, more memory headroom or lighter portability may prefer a more premium gaming laptop.
8/10 - Well suited to modern AAA games at practical settings, with enough graphics power for a strong mainstream gaming experience.
7/10 - Manageable for a gaming laptop at 2.1kg, though still less travel-friendly than thin-and-light alternatives.
8/10 - A good fit for fast-paced competitive titles, though premium high-refresh competitive-focused models can offer a stronger edge.
Good for photo editing, student creative work and light-to-moderate video projects, but not as well equipped as creator-focused laptops with more memory or higher-end displays.
7/10 - Appropriate for its class and performance level, but not positioned as a specialist cooling-first flagship.
A: Yes. The RTX 5060 8GB, Core i7 and 16GB RAM are a strong match for the 15.3 inch WUXGA display, which is 1920 x 1200. Expect smooth play in many modern titles at high settings, while heavier ray tracing games may need DLSS or reduced settings.
A: WUXGA means 1920 x 1200, which gives this Legion 5i a 16:10 style display with more vertical space than standard Full HD. That is handy for browsing, study and work, and it is also easier to drive in games than a higher resolution QHD panel.
A: Yes. For gaming, web use, streaming and general study or work, 16GB is still a sensible sweet spot and matches this laptop well. If running large creative apps, heavy mods or virtual machines, 32GB class systems give more headroom for multitasking.
A: It is portable for a gaming laptop, but it is not an ultralight machine. At 2.1kg and 23.99mm thick, it will fit a backpack more easily than larger desktop replacements, though the power adaptor adds extra carry weight for daily commuting.
A: The listed battery figure is up to 9 hours of local video playback, which is a light-use test rather than gaming. Real gaming battery life is usually much shorter on laptops with dedicated graphics, so mains power is best for sustained performance.
A: Yes, if the home router also supports Wi-Fi 6. It can improve wireless efficiency and help reduce congestion compared with older Wi-Fi standards, but it will not overcome a slow internet plan, a distant router or poor signal through multiple walls.
A: For many buyers, yes. A 1TB SSD usually leaves roughly 850GB to 930GB usable after formatting and system files, which suits a mix of everyday apps and several large games, but very big AAA libraries can still fill it faster than expected.
