My TV stopped working and my son-in-law has the Laser Projector Bundle which he uses when travelling, so I decided to replace my TV with the Laser Projector on the lounge room wall. It’s awesome. It comes with a large outdoor screen which is great if you like being outdoors.

It suits families, entertainers and anyone setting up in backyards or open spaces. Key strengths are the complete all-in-one bundle, large viewing area and flexible connectivity. Things to consider
With 300 ANSI lumens, it is not ideal for bright rooms or daytime viewing like higher-brightness home cinema projectors.
Home cinema suitability score
7/10 - Strong for casual big-screen movie nights, especially outdoors, but limited brightness makes it less suited to bright-room cinema use.
Room size compatibility
Best for large outdoor areas and bigger rooms with low ambient light
Gaming suitability
5/10 - Fine for casual big-screen gaming, but not positioned as a specialist gaming projector.
Ease of setup rating
8/10 - Bundle includes screen, stand and accessories, with keystone adjustment helping placement.
Noise level vs category
Typical for the category - no low-noise claim is specified
Key benefits
- 144-inch inflatable screen: Delivers a large viewing area that suits group movie nights and bigger outdoor setups.
- Portable projector design: Easier to move between indoor and outdoor locations for flexible use.
- Included soundbar: Improves dialogue and general audio clarity compared with relying on basic built-in speaker output alone.
- Projector stand included: Helps simplify setup and positioning without needing to source extra mounting gear.
- Bluetooth v5.3: Supports convenient wireless audio connections with compatible devices.
- Multiple input options: HDMI, USB, Micro SD and AV IN make it easier to connect streaming devices, media files and legacy equipment.
- Manual and digital keystone support: Helps straighten the image when placement is less than perfect.
- Full HD playback support: 1920 x 1080 resolution is well suited to movies, sports and presentations with clear detail.
Q: Can this projector bundle be used in daytime outdoors?
A: No. The projector is rated at 300 ANSI lumens, so the image is best after sunset or in low ambient light. In bright daytime conditions, the picture will look washed out, even with the included 144 inch screen.
Q: Does the Laser projector have built-in streaming apps or smart TV?
A: No. Laser PJ-OBF144-670 is not a smart projector, so apps like streaming services do not run on the projector itself. Use HDMI, USB, Micro SD, AV IN, or wired screen casting to play content from another device.
Q: Will Bluetooth connect video from my phone to the projector?
A: No. Bluetooth v5.3 is for wireless audio connections, not video. To show content from a phone or tablet, use a supported wired connection such as HDMI from a compatible adapter or the wired screen casting function.
Q: How far back does the projector need for a large image?
A: Laser PJ-OBF144-670 uses a 1.39 throw ratio, which means it needs a moderate amount of distance from the screen rather than sitting right in front of it. It suits medium to larger spaces better than tight, close-up setups.
Q: What audio options does this outdoor projector bundle include?
A: This bundle includes a soundbar, and the projector also has 2x2.5W sound built in. The soundbar is the better choice for outdoor use, because open spaces reduce the impact of small built-in speakers.
Q: Is the inflatable screen kit complete for backyard setup?
A: Yes. The screen pack includes the inflatable screen with built-in blower, a carry bag, 4 tie down ropes, and 8 tether stakes. That gives the screen the main parts needed for outdoor setup and anchoring on suitable ground.
