At a glance
The Joseph Joseph Tota 60 Litre Laundry Separation Basket is a slim, dual-compartment hamper designed for households that want easier wash-day sorting without taking up much space. It suits bedrooms, bathrooms and utility rooms, with removable tote bags and a lid for a tidier look. Its key strength is convenient built-in separation, but it is better for routine household use than heavy-duty bulk laundry handling.

Key benefits
- 60 l capacity: Holds up to 60 litres of laundry, giving enough room for regular household washing without needing a bulky basket.
- Dual 30 l compartments: Two separate 30 litre sections let you sort lights, darks or colours before wash day.
- Removable tote bags: Each inner bag lifts out individually, making it easier to carry a load straight to the washing machine.
- Carry handles: Integrated handles on the tote bags help with more comfortable lifting and transport.
- Helper handles on base: Handles at the base make emptying the bags more manageable when unloading clothes.
- Lidded design: The lid keeps dirty laundry out of sight for a cleaner, tidier look in living spaces.
- Slim footprint: Designed to fit neatly into smaller spaces such as bathrooms, bedrooms and compact utility areas.
- Machine washable bags: The tote bags can be machine washed for easier ongoing cleaning and upkeep.
Q: Will it fit in a very small bathroom or apartment?
A: It can suit compact rooms because the basket uses a slim, upright shape instead of a wide footprint. Even so, a 60L hamper still needs dedicated floor space, so it may feel bulky in very tight bathrooms or studio apartments.
Q: Will this laundry basket suit a couple or a family better?
A: Joseph Joseph Tota has a 60L capacity with separate sections, so it suits regular household laundry rather than a single small load. It works well for couples or small families who want to sort colours or fabrics before washing.
Q: Can you carry one laundry section out without lifting everything?
A: Yes. Each section has its own removable tote bag with carry handles, so a sorted load can go straight to the washing machine. That is more practical if only one load is ready, because the outer basket can stay in place.
Q: Are very wet towels or gym clothes a good match?
A: It is better suited to dry or lightly damp laundry that is ready to be sorted. The basket is not described as waterproof or sealed, so heavily wet towels or sweaty gear are better aired first rather than left enclosed for long periods.
Q: Does the lid control odours or mainly keep clothes hidden?
A: The lid mainly keeps dirty clothes out of sight and makes the basket look tidier in a bedroom, bathroom or laundry. It is not described as a sealed lid, so it should not be treated as an odour-locking hamper for damp items.
Q: Is the flat-pack setup likely to be fiddly or tool-heavy?
A: No. This basket arrives flat-packed and is designed for tool-free assembly, so setup is straightforward for most homes. The main thing to expect is a short build step before first use, rather than a ready-assembled basket out of the box.
