Ice Cold
Don’t let its size deceive you, this little box is space saving ice cold powerhouse. It keeps my room so cool and the ability to freeze the filter make coming down and staying cool overnight a Breeze!

Handy product
It’s just a regular fan but adding ice cubes or a cold gel pack helps a little bit with cold breeze

Very good value for money
I wasn't expecting too much from this small unit but I'm extremely impressed. It's compact enough to move around easily, the tank lasts for most the night, and if you add ice and freeze the filter (as recommended), the air is significantly cooler I also believe the air quality in my bedroom (where it's,located 95% of the time) has significantly improved due to the air purification. The only downside is it would be great if it came with a pouch you could freeze that fitted perfectly in the small tank. I actually have now bought 2, and have gicen one to a friend as a 🎁 as she has no air con in her bedroom.

At a glance
The Insta Chill Pure Chill Desktop Cooler is a compact personal evaporative cooler for desks, bedside tables and other close-range spaces. It suits students, remote workers and light sleepers who want simple portable cooling, humidifying and a night light in one unit. Its main strengths are easy placement, USB or wall power flexibility and up to 10 hours per fill. The limitation is that it is only suited to very small personal areas, not whole-room cooling.

Things to consider
This is a personal evaporative cooler for close-range comfort and cannot match the room-wide cooling power or precise temperature control of larger premium portable air conditioners.
Room size suitability
Best for personal cooling within approximately 2.1 m in very small spaces
Portability rating
9/10 - very compact and easy to move between a desk, bedside table or small room
Noise level vs category average
6/10 - likely unobtrusive for a personal cooler, but no stated decibel rating is provided
Energy efficiency score
7/10 - personal evaporative design and USB power option suggest low-power operation, but no star rating or wattage is stated
Ease of installation
Very easy - fill the tank, connect via USB Type-C or wall adaptor, and place it near where you sit or sleep
Key benefits
- Compact desktop design: Easy to place on a desk, bedside table or small shelf where larger cooling units will not fit.
- 0.45 L water tank: Supports up to 10 hours of operation per fill for convenient overnight or workday use.
- 3 fan speeds: Lets you choose a gentler breeze or stronger airflow depending on comfort needs.
- Touch controls: Makes speed and setting changes simple and quick without complex setup.
- Purifying and humidifying function: Adds moisture and helps make nearby air feel more comfortable while cooling.
- Temperature drop up to 7 °C: Can provide a noticeable cooling effect in close personal use conditions.
- Integrated LED night light: Adds a gentle glow for bedside use or low-light rooms.
- USB Type-C and wall power options: Gives you flexible placement whether you are using it near a power point or a USB power source.
Q: Can this desktop cooler cool an entire bedroom or office?
A: No. Insta Chill Pure Chill Desktop Cooler is designed for close-range personal cooling, with coverage of about 2.1 metres. It suits a desk, bedside table or study nook, not whole-room cooling like a larger compressor-based unit.
Q: Does the Pure Chill Desktop Cooler need water to work properly?
A: Yes. The fan will still move air, but the cooling and humidifying functions rely on water in the 0.45L tank. If the tank runs empty, it behaves more like a small personal fan than an evaporative cooler.
Q: Will it run all night on one tank fill?
A: It can, depending on how long you need it running. Insta Chill states up to 10 hours of operation per water fill, so it may cover overnight use in some setups, but shorter run times are more likely at higher fan speeds or warmer conditions.
Q: Can I power this cooler from USB or a wall outlet?
A: Yes. The unit supports both USB power and wall power, and the box includes a 1.2m USB Type C cable plus a wall power adaptor. That gives more placement flexibility on a desk, shelf or bedside table without extra accessories.
Q: Is this model a real portable air conditioner or evaporative cooler?
A: It is an evaporative cooler, not a compressor portable air conditioner. That means it is built for personal, short-range cooling with added humidifying and air-purifying functions, rather than strong whole-room temperature control.
Q: What do the LED lights do on this cooler?
A: The LED lights show settings and also work as a night light. Insta Chill Pure Chill Desktop Cooler has 8 LEDs, so it can be useful on a bedside table or desk in the evening, rather than acting only as a cooling unit.
