Q: Does this Incase keyboard and mouse combo use Bluetooth?
A: No. This model connects through the included USB wireless receiver rather than Bluetooth, so it uses one spare USB port on your computer. That makes setup simple, but it is less convenient for devices that only rely on Bluetooth.
Q: Is the wireless connection on this combo encrypted?
A: Yes. The keyboard uses AES 128-bit encryption, which helps protect keystrokes between the keyboard and the USB receiver. That is a useful extra for work or study setups where typed information may include passwords or personal details.
Q: How much wireless range does the Incase Wireless Desktop 900 offer?
A: The included transceiver is rated for a reliable wireless range of 30 feet, which is about 9 metres. That is more than enough for normal desk use, although walls, metal furniture and other wireless devices can reduce effective range in practice.
Q: Is this keyboard and mouse combo suited to office work rather than gaming?
A: Yes. Its quiet-touch keys, easy-access hot keys and standard wireless receiver are aimed at everyday typing and productivity, not competitive gaming. There is no listed gaming latency, mechanical switch or high-performance gaming feature set.
Q: Do I need to pair the keyboard and mouse manually before first use?
A: No. This combo is designed for plug-and-play use with the included USB transceiver, so basic setup is simpler than separate manual pairing. It is a practical option if you want both devices connected through one receiver from the start.
