Good features
We bought the Hybrid freezer because we already have had a Hisense Hybrid freezer for over 2 years that we use as a freezer and this new Hybrid freezer we are using as a all fridge. Very happy so far.

This is the freezer we have always wanted
Originally we were going to opt for a chest freezer, but we are so glad we went for a vertical freezer instead. We were also going to go with a smaller size, but we absolutely love how roomy this freezer is and don't struggle in any way with fitting everything in, with some spare space still there for anything unexpected. Having an upright freezer keeps everything so organised & really easy to find exactly what you're looking for with ease & not having to lift things out to find what you're looking for. An added bonus with this freezer is the shelves on the door, which adds additional space. I love the fact that there are shelves as well as drawers. We only use it as a freezer, but the fact that it's a hybrid and we can change it up & use it as a fridge in the future, if needed, is fantastic. The quality of the build and components of the freezer is really robust. We like to batch cook a lot of meals and having a lot of freezer space has been a huge game changer for us for storing everything. We honestly cannot fault this product in any way and honestly, I don't know how we ever got on without it. We would thoroughly recommend this Hisense vertical freezer.

Finally a fridge that has space. If things change in the future then it will be a perfect stand up freezer so win win. Cooled down quickly when plug in for the first time. Super easy purchase

Q: Can this freezer switch to fridge mode for extra food storage
A: Yes. The Hisense HRVF384S has a switchable system, so it can run as a freezer or as a fridge when storage needs change. It is one cabinet, not a dual-zone model, so it operates in one mode at a time rather than both together.
Q: Does Total No Frost mean no manual defrosting is needed
A: Yes. Total No Frost is designed to stop ice building up inside the cabinet, so regular manual defrosting is not part of normal use. That keeps storage space easier to manage and helps avoid shelves or drawers icing over.
Q: How efficient is the Hisense HRVF384S for a large upright freezer
A: Hisense HRVF384S has a 3 star energy rating. For a 384L upright freezer, that is a mid-range result rather than a lowest-running-cost focus, so buyers prioritising lower energy use may prefer to weigh efficiency against its switchable design.
Q: When should I use Super Freeze or Super Cool modes
A: Yes. Super Freeze or Super Cool gives a quick cooling boost after loading the cabinet with new groceries or drinks. These modes are useful after a big shop or party prep, but they are short-term functions rather than settings for constant use.
Q: Is the reversible door useful for tight laundry or garage spaces
A: Yes. A reversible door lets the opening side be changed to better suit the room layout, which can help in a laundry, garage or tight corner. It does not make the cabinet narrower, so clearance for the full door swing is still needed.
Q: How does the metal-lined cooling design help in daily use
A: The metal-lined cooling design helps the cabinet recover cold temperatures after the door is opened often. That matters most during busy meal times or entertaining, but frequent openings still let warm air in, so loading and closing promptly still matters.
