Energy-Efficient, Quiet and Gentle on Clothes
The Haier 8kg 500 Series Heat Pump Dryer is a great addition to the laundry, offering a good balance of energy efficiency, convenience and fabric care. Its 8kg capacity is suitable for everyday family laundry, while the heat pump technology dries clothes at lower temperatures, helping protect fabrics and reduce electricity consumption. I particularly like its modern design, range of drying programs and the convenience of not needing external ventilation. The reverse-drum feature also helps reduce tangling and bunching, making it useful for drying mixed loads and bedding. One thing to keep in mind is that heat pump dryers can take longer to dry clothes than conventional vented dryers, so some planning is needed for larger loads. Overall, it is a practical, energy-efficient option for anyone looking for a modern dryer that is gentle on clothes and designed to help reduce running costs. Overall verdict: A worthwhile option for everyday household laundry, especially if energy efficiency and gentle fabric care are priorities.

Changed my thinking about clothes dryers
I absolutely hated clothes dryers because of them being power drainers , the noise and clothes always shrunk no matter what the labels on the clothes said. We would only use a dryer if we were desperate and that would be at a laundry Matt My husband went to the good guys and asked their opinion after a couple of weeks of wet weather. They suggested this haier heat pump dryer and it's amazing. So quiet, no shrinking of any clothes and it's amazing to be able to see how much water is actually drawn out of the clothes when we empty the water tray because of the heat pump special feature. Would %100 recommend

Q: Can the Haier HDHPS80NB1 be installed without external venting?
A: Yes. The Haier HDHPS80NB1 has a vent-free heat pump design, so it does not need a wall vent like a vented dryer. Its 586mm depth also helps in tighter laundries, but allow room for the door to open and for airflow around the unit.
Q: Does the 8 star energy rating make a noticeable difference to running costs?
A: Yes. Haier HDHPS80NB1 has an 8 star energy rating, and Haier states it can reduce running costs by up to 60% when compared with Haier vented dryer HDV70AWW1, based on energy-label kWh use and electricity priced at $0.25 per kWh.
Q: Is this dryer a good choice for woollens and delicate fabrics?
A: Yes. The heat pump system dries at lower temperatures, and this model includes Delicate, Wool and Allergy Care programs. Woolmark Blue certified cycles are designed for gentler care than a standard high-heat drying approach.
Q: Will the Haier HDHPS80NB1 take longer to dry than a vented dryer?
A: Yes, that can happen. Heat pump dryers use lower drying temperatures to help protect fabrics and cut power use, so some loads may run longer than a vented dryer, especially thicker items such as towels or bedding.
Q: Does the Ultra Reverse Drum feature help stop sheets and larger items tangling?
A: Yes. Haier HDHPS80NB1 uses Ultra Reverse Drum movement to help reduce tangles and improve how evenly larger loads dry. That can be useful for sheets, towels and mixed family washing, where bunching often causes damp patches.
Q: Can this dryer be stacked in an alcove installation?
A: Not with the current stacking kit solution. Haier states the stacking kit for this dryer is not currently suitable for an alcove installation, so a stacked setup needs a more open position rather than a recessed cavity.
