Stopped draining after about two weeks
I bought this Haier HWF75KW1 from The Good Guys on 12 October 2026 for $478 plus $89 delivery. Within approximately two weeks it stopped draining and repeatedly displayed CLr FLt. The troubleshooting I tried has not resolved it, and I cannot complete a wash. I reported the problem on 30 October and completed the online fault forms. As at 5 November I still have no confirmed inspection, repair or replacement. A new washing machine should not leave me unable to do my laundry while I chase support. Very disappointing.

Great Washing Machine
Love this machine, easy to use and preset washing preferences, has a quick wash and very quiet. Fantastic service from Good Guys during sale and great support with questions post delivery. I paid a small amount to have the machine installed and the old machine taken away. Great service

At a glance
The Haier 7.5kg 300 Series Front Load Washer is a practical, slimline machine for singles, couples and smaller families who want flexible wash options in a compact space. Its strengths are 15 programs, Steam Refresh, quick wash convenience and 4.5 star energy and water ratings. The main limitation is its 7.5kg capacity, which is less suited to very large households or bulky frequent loads.

Things to consider
The 7.5kg drum is well suited to everyday washing, but larger families or buyers wanting bigger doonas and bulk loads handled more easily may prefer an 8.5kg to 10kg model.
Fabric care suitability score
8/10 - Strong everyday fabric care with wool, allergy-focused, steam refresh and multiple program options.
Water efficiency rating
4.5 star water rating
Family laundry fit
Best for singles, couples and small families; suitable for regular weekly laundry rather than heavy-volume family washing.
Noise level vs category average
7/10 - Auto balancing helps reduce vibration and noise, though it is not positioned as a premium ultra-quiet model.
Allergy suitability
8/10 - Allergy Care and anti-bacterial gasket treatment make it a solid option for households wanting more hygienic wash support.
Key benefits
- 7.5kg Capacity: Handles everyday clothing, towels and lighter bedding for singles, couples and small families.
- Slimline 507mm Depth: Fits more easily into compact laundries, apartments and under-counter spaces.
- 15 Wash Programs: Gives you flexible care options for everyday garments, woollens, allergy-focused loads and quick washes.
- Express 15 Cycle: Freshens smaller loads quickly when you need clean clothes in less time.
- Steam Refresh Cycle: Helps reduce odours and smooth creases in lightly worn clothing without a full wash.
- Anti-Bacterial Treated Gasket: Helps maintain a fresher, more hygienic door seal area between washes.
- Eco Wash Option: Helps reduce water and energy use, supported by a 4.5 star energy rating and 4.5 star water rating.
- Auto Balancing Drum: Helps reduce vibration and supports quieter, steadier operation during spin cycles.
Q: Will the Haier HWF75KW1 fit in a compact laundry or under a benchtop?
A: Yes. This washer is 507mm deep, 595mm wide and 850mm high, so it suits shallower laundry spaces better than many full-depth front loaders. Leave extra room for the door to open, hoses at the rear and airflow around the unit.
Q: Does the Haier HWF75KW1 need both hot and cold water connections?
A: No. The HWF75KW1 only needs a cold water connection, which can simplify placement in laundries that do not have a hot inlet at the machine. Wash temperature is selected on the washer itself, so it still offers temperature control from a cold feed.
Q: Is 7.5kg enough capacity for bedding and family washing?
A: Yes, for many households it is enough for everyday family loads and lighter bedding. A 7.5kg drum can usually handle sheets, pillowcases and some doonas, but larger or heavier king bedding may suit an 8.5kg or larger washer better.
Q: What is the Steam Refresh cycle on the Haier HWF75KW1 best used for?
A: Steam Refresh is best for lightly worn clothes that need freshening rather than a full wash. It helps reduce odours and smooth some creases, but it is not a replacement for a normal cycle when garments are heavily soiled or stained.
Q: Can you add clothes after a wash has already started on the Haier HWF75KW1?
A: Yes. This model includes Add a Garment, which lets you pause early in the cycle and place in missed items. It is most useful before the water level rises and the door locks fully, so it is not something available at every stage of every program.
Q: Is the Haier HWF75KW1 a good option if noise and vibration matter?
A: Yes. It has an auto balancing drum designed to reduce vibration, which can help it run more quietly and steadily on spin cycles. Correct levelling also matters, so use the adjustable feet carefully if the floor is uneven or the space is tight.
