At a glance
The Hafele Quartz Sink G2 Single Bowl Onyx is a durable single bowl kitchen sink designed for everyday washing, larger pots and oven trays. It suits households wanting a modern black sink with flexible top mount or under mount installation and strong resistance to impact, stains and heat. One limitation is that the dark onyx finish can show water marks or residue more easily, so regular rinsing and drying helps keep it looking clean.

Things to consider
The black onyx finish delivers a striking modern look, but it can show water spots or residue more readily than lighter sink colours and may need more frequent wiping to maintain a consistent appearance.
Family suitability
Best for singles, couples and small families; also works well in households that regularly wash larger cookware.
Ease of cleaning score
7/10 - stain-resistant material helps, but the black onyx finish can show water marks and residue more easily.
Apartment vs house fit
Well suited to both apartments and houses thanks to its single bowl layout and flexible mounting options.
Noise reduction rating
7/10 - quartz-composite construction typically helps soften dish and water noise compared with many stainless steel sinks.
Durability vs category average
8/10 - quartz-based construction and resistance to impact, stains and heat make it stronger than many standard sink options.
Key benefits
- Single Bowl Design: Gives you uninterrupted space for washing large pots, oven trays and bulky cookware.
- 28 L Capacity: Provides practical washing space for everyday kitchen tasks without taking on an oversized footprint.
- Flexible Mounting: Supports both top mount and under mount installation to suit different benchtop styles and renovation plans.
- Quartz-Rich Construction: The 80% quartz build helps the sink handle daily wear with solid impact resistance.
- Stain Resistant Surface: Makes routine kitchen messes easier to manage during normal household use.
- Heat Resistant Material: Better suited to busy cooking environments where warm cookware and hot water are part of daily use.
- Watermarked Designer Waste Included: Helps streamline installation with a matching waste component included in the box.
- Cut Out Template Included: Simplifies planning and installation for a smoother sink fitment process.
Q: Does this sink have tap holes already drilled?
A: No. Hafele Quartz Sink G2 Single Bowl Onyx has no tap holes, so the tap needs to be mounted on the benchtop or wall instead. If a sink-mounted tap is part of the plan, this is not the right configuration.
Q: Will the black onyx finish show water marks easily?
A: Yes. The black onyx finish can show water marks or residue more readily than lighter finishes, so it looks best when rinsed and dried regularly. That trade-off matters if a low-visibility finish is the priority.
Q: Can this Hafele sink be top mounted or undermounted?
A: Yes. Hafele Quartz Sink G2 Single Bowl Onyx supports both top mount and under mount installation, which gives more flexibility during a renovation. Under mount use depends on a benchtop material that suits that installation style.
Q: What comes in the box with this sink?
A: Hafele Quartz Sink G2 Single Bowl Onyx includes a watermarked designer waste and a cut out template in the packaging. That covers two key installation items, but tapware is not part of this sink configuration.
