Love!!!
Fairly easy to set up, saved me buying a new tv to replace my older one that was out of date for most streaming apps. Bonus feature is you only need the one remote as this also controls my sound bar volume.

Q: Is the Google TV Streamer 4K 2024 the replacement for Chromecast with Google TV?
A: Yes. Google TV Streamer 4K is the newer Google streaming device for TV, with Google TV built in rather than the older Chromecast branding. It is designed as a full streamer with a remote, voice control and smart home features from the TV screen.
Q: Can the Google TV Streamer 4K 2024 still cast from a phone or tablet like a Chromecast?
A: Yes. This model is built around Google TV, but it still supports casting from compatible apps on phones and tablets. That means it suits buyers who want both a traditional remote-based TV interface and quick casting from mobile devices.
Q: Do you need a 4K TV to use the Google TV Streamer 4K 2024?
A: No. It can still be used with a Full HD TV, but 4K detail is only available when the TV and the content both support 4K playback. If the television is older, the main benefit is the Google TV interface rather than the extra resolution.
Q: Can the Google TV Streamer 4K 2024 be used for hands-free voice control?
A: Yes. Google describes this model as offering hands-free help, so it is designed for voice commands without relying only on button presses. That is useful for opening apps, searching shows or controlling compatible smart home devices from the TV.
Q: Can the Google TV Streamer 4K 2024 control smart home devices from the TV?
A: Yes. Google lists smart home control as a core feature, so this streamer is intended to do more than just play video. It suits buyers who want to check and control compatible Google Home devices from the television instead of switching apps or screens.
Q: How can you tell this Google streamer is the 4K model and not an older Chromecast?
A: The product name itself identifies it as Google TV Streamer 4K, which distinguishes it from older Chromecast models. It also uses the newer streamer-style design with Google TV, rather than being positioned only as a simple cast receiver for the TV.
