Great kids watch
Tried other brands and this is the most user friendly watch for my little ones. The battery lasts almost forever and not hard to replace.

The Best Kids’ Watch We’ve Tried
Great kids’ watch! I recently purchased another brand but had to return it, so I bought the Garmin Vivofit 3 instead. I’m very happy with the purchase. Now 4 out of my 6 grandchildren have a Vivofit watch, and they all love them. Reliable, easy to use, and great for keeping kids active.

Great watch for kids
These watches are great for young children, they have a long life button battery so no remembering to recharge it every week. My children love the game in the app and intentionally do extra steps to get more "turns" in the game. The timer function is fantastic time management tool that is simple for them to use. Highly recommended!

Gift for Granddaughter
My granddaughter requested this watch for her seventh birthday (so she had a watch like her cousins). She is delighted with it, and it seems to function as it should. I've knocked off one star as it was a little complicated getting the watch set up and linking it to the app on her mother's phone. But once set up, it has worked well. I have a very happy granddaughter.

Great present
Bought this a present for 9year old girl. Has been a hit, she absolutely loves it. Appears to have lots of features, requires connection to phone for alarm clock, lovely colour, has timer, step counter, plus more.

Brilliant kid’s watch!
I’m very impressed with the kid’s Garmin Vivo Jr3 watch. My daughter has been asking for one for a while and in the past she has worn a watch as a novelty for a day or two and then doesn’t want to wear them anymore. We’ve had the Garmin for about 3 weeks now and she hasn’t taken it off. She’s been more active wanting to challenge herself and has also loved doing little challenges with her friends. Battery life is incredible. 100% recommend. Will be buying a second one for my youngest daughter too

Excellent product
Love that battery lasts 1 year for a fitness watch. All works well, counting steps, do step challenge with friends, tell deep sleep, light sleep, - highly recommended.

good Garmin quality..I hope!
this was a replacement for a vivofit Jr2 which my daughter had for 3 years. Having said that, we had to get the first one replaced (took back to office works within warranty and they exchanged for a new one), Then last year we noticed that the battery would die quickly and seemed related to weekly swimming lessons. Perhaps the seal had worn out. I contacted Garmin for repair options (knowing it was out of warranty) and they were very kind to send a new one. I like the fact the band can be easily replaced and overall it's been a durable watch for an active kid who managed to kill a more expensive SpaceTalk watch within 1 month!

At a glance
The Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 Peach Leopard is a kid-focused fitness tracker for ages 4+ that helps monitor steps, sleep, chores and daily activity in a fun, wearable format. It suits families wanting simple activity tracking, swim-friendly durability and long battery life. Its biggest limitation is that health insights are basic compared with more advanced trackers for teens or adults.

- Sleep tracking
- Chore and reward routines
- Swim-friendly wear
- Family fitness motivation

- Outdoor play
- Poolside
- Family travel
Who it’s for

Things to consider
It focuses on kid-friendly activity and routine tracking rather than advanced health metrics or in-depth sports analytics found on higher-end fitness wearables.
Beginner vs athlete fit

Q: Does the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 Peach Leopard have heart rate tracking?
A: No. This model focuses on steps, sleep, daily activity goals and timed activities rather than heart rate. If heart rate tracking is a must-have, a higher-spec Garmin wearable will be a better fit than the Vivofit Jr 3.
Q: Does the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 need charging every few days?
A: No. The Vivofit Jr 3 uses a replaceable button battery with a battery life of more than 1 year in normal use, so it is designed to be worn daily without weekly charging. That suits younger kids who may forget to recharge a device. Button batteries can cause serious injury or death if swallowed. Keep out of reach of children. If swallowed, call the Poisons Information Centre immediately on 13 11 26.
Q: Can this tracker be used without connecting to the Garmin Jr app?
A: Yes, for basic on-wrist use, but the Garmin Jr app is needed to unlock the fuller experience. App-based features such as rewards, family challenges, saved activity details and parent-managed settings rely on a compatible phone connection.
Q: Is the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 Peach Leopard suitable for swimming?
A: Yes. This model has a swim-friendly band, so it is suitable for everyday wear around water, including pool time and splashes. It is built more for activity tracking than for detailed swim metrics such as lap counts or stroke analysis.
Q: What age range is the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 Peach Leopard designed for?
A: It is designed for kids aged 4 and up, with an adjustable silicone band to help fit smaller wrists. For older children, the key question is less about age and more about wrist comfort, since this is a kids-first tracker rather than an adult smartwatch.
Q: Can kids use the Garmin Vivofit Jr 3 for school sport or timed activities?
A: Yes. Timed activity features can help track steps and estimated distance during activities such as school sport, park play or practice sessions. It is useful for general movement tracking, but it is not a specialist sports watch with advanced training metrics.
