Quite disappointed
Expected more. Thought with developments in lcd technology that dolphin would have created a torch with the power of the old style dolphin into a sleeker package, but was wrong. Doesnt live up to the dolphin brand

Long life rating
7/10 - flexible 2 or 4 AA operation supports practical runtime options, though no premium long-runtime claim is provided.
High-drain device suitability
5/10 - suitable for a torch, but not positioned as a specialist high-drain power solution like batteries made for heavy electronics.
Rechargeable vs disposable fit
Best suited to disposable AA battery use for simple storage and emergency readiness.
Key benefits
- 125-Lumen Output: Provides practical light for close-range tasks such as checking gear, moving around camp or handling outages.
- Readyflex Battery System: Operates on either 2 or 4 AA batteries for flexible runtime and easier emergency use.
- Waterproof Housing: Helps the torch keep working in wet outdoor conditions such as rain, boating or fishing trips.
- Floating Design: Makes it easier to retrieve if dropped in water around boats, rivers or campsites.
- Compact Size: Packs easily into backpacks, cupboards or emergency kits without taking up much space.
- AA Battery Power: Uses a common battery format that is easy to replace or keep on hand for backup lighting.
Q: What batteries does the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch use?
A: The Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch runs on AA batteries and uses Readyflex technology, so it can operate with either 2 or 4 AA cells. Using 4 batteries is the better choice for longer runtime on camping, fishing, or emergency use.
Q: Can the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch still work if only 2 batteries are installed?
A: Yes, this torch is designed to switch on with either 2 or 4 AA batteries thanks to Readyflex technology. That gives more flexibility in emergencies, but 2 batteries will generally mean shorter runtime than using a full set of 4.
Q: Is the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch suitable for camping or fishing trips?
A: Yes, the 125-lumen output makes it suitable for close-range outdoor tasks such as walking around camp, checking gear, or lighting a tackle box. It is waterproof and floats, which is especially useful around wet areas or on the water.
Q: Does the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch float in water?
A: Yes, the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch is built to float, which helps if it is dropped near a boat, jetty, or campsite water source. It is also rated as waterproof, but floating does not mean it is designed for prolonged underwater use.
Q: How bright is the Eveready Mini Dolphin Torch in real use?
A: This model is rated at 125 lumens, which suits short to medium-range lighting rather than large-area flood lighting. It is a practical choice for cupboards, backpacks, camping gear, or power outages, but not a substitute for a high-output search light.
