Many reasons to choose but also something to consider
I selected the Eufy Video Doorbell C31 over the others for several reasons. To narrow the field I omitted any that required the ongoing expense of connection to a service to save video footage. The Eufy does provide that option if required however it also has internal storage or storage inside the home on the hub. The package I purchased came with a video card and a chime, it doesn't say in the promotional description that the chime is also a mini hub, so I was really happy when I received and discovered it. Storing the video card inside adds an extra layer of security in that no one can attempt to remove the card from the doorbell. The deciding factor for me was the removable battery. Having the option to purchase a second battery to swap when one needs charging means there is no time that the doorbell wont be in operation which is a drawback with battery operated units. Another bonus that many others don't offer is that it can also be hardwired if you prefer that option, either when you purchase it or at some point in the future. The unit isn't perfect though, there are some cons. There is a lag between detection and notification, this annoys me as it was the reason I decided to replace my old one. I don't have a very big home so the modem isn't a long way from the door, and its not like I can just move my door or modem to better locations to fix the issue. So it's important to check the distance and range capability needed to rule out this issue. I'm also still trying to figure out a few glitches between the app and the unit, I have changed some of the settings in the app but these settings aren't changing the operation of the unit. Eg. I have set the app to record for 60 seconds with a 1 second delay between recordings if movement continues. However, it is still only recording for 10 seconds with a five second delay. Seconds may not seem long but they are when there is an event that needs continuous recording. The final thing to consider is camera coverage, many new cameras are designed to have vision of the doorstep for parcel deliveries. This one doesn't, it would have to be placed quite low to capture any of the lower area and even then it wouldn't show anything left at the door step, so something worth considering if you have a lot of deliveries.

Disappointing
There is significant lag in notification sometimes no notification at all when the doorbell is pressed one particular time I didn't get the notification on my phone that someone was at the door until 30 minutes later I went through all the settings to everything that's required and still no change the Eufy online support is nothing but AI around talking it is pathetic please don't waste your money.. I wish I had installed wired security system instead I'm stuck with something that depletes it's battery by a 50% in the first week..but doesn't do anything.

Great security
This doorbell/camera is wonderful We set it up with the mini doorbell base, which has the additional micro so card insert. Having the micro sd card inside the house is a great secure way to have the card (not outside in the doorbell/camera. Took a bit to get it all set up, but working great now! Very clear vision!
