Awesome drone.
Just upgraded from an Air2S to the Air3. Awesome upgrade with many new features including dual cameras, wide angle and zoom. Longer range on the remote with better video feed and full 360 degree obstacle avoidance. If you dont have a drone this one is the one to get.

The DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo (RC 2) is a premium camera drone for travellers, photographers and content creators who want strong image quality and longer shooting sessions. Its dual-camera setup, up to 46-minute flight time per battery and three-battery bundle make it great for varied aerial work. A key limitation is that serious pro cinema users may still want larger sensors or interchangeable-lens systems.

Aerial photography suitability
Excellent for travel, landscape and general content creation thanks to its dual-camera flexibility and strong video features.
Beginner vs pro fit
Best for enthusiasts and advanced users; approachable enough for committed beginners, but also capable for serious content creators.
Flight time rating
9/10 - up to 46 minutes per battery is strong for longer aerial sessions, especially with three batteries included.
Portability score
8/10 - portable enough for travel and location work while still offering a more capable camera setup than basic compact drones.
Obstacle avoidance performance
8/10 - well suited to safer general flying and location work, though specialist high-end platforms may offer more advanced sensing confidence.
Key benefits
- Dual-Camera System: Gives you more framing flexibility for wide scenic shots and tighter compositions without changing aircraft.
- Up to 46-Minute Flight Time Per Battery: Supports longer shooting sessions with fewer interruptions for landing and battery swaps.
- Three Intelligent Flight Batteries Included: Helps you cover more locations and film longer across a day of travel or production.
- 4K Video at Up to 100fps: Lets you capture detailed footage and smoother slow-motion clips for more polished edits.
- HLG and D-Log M 10-Bit Profiles: Provides more flexibility for colour grading when you want a more refined final look.
- DJI RC 2 Controller Included: Makes outdoor setup faster and more convenient with a dedicated remote ready for field use.
- 20 km Video Transmission: Helps maintain a strong viewing and control link in suitable open environments.
- 12 m/s Wind Resistance: Improves stability for more confident flying and steadier footage in breezy outdoor conditions.
Q: Does the DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo include everything needed to start flying?
A: Yes. This combo includes the Air 3 drone, the DJI RC 2 remote, three Intelligent Flight Batteries, a charging hub, spare low-noise propellers, a shoulder bag, gimbal protector and USB-C cable. A microSD card is not included.
Q: Do I need a microSD card for the DJI Air 3, or can it record to internal storage?
A: It can record to the drone's 8GB internal storage, but that fills quickly with 4K footage. For regular shooting, a microSD card is the better choice, with support for cards up to 256GB for longer sessions and easier file transfers.
Q: How long can the DJI Air 3 Fly More Combo stay in the air with the batteries included?
A: Each battery is rated for up to 46 minutes in ideal conditions, and this combo includes three batteries. In real use, wind, speed and repeated climbs reduce that figure, but the extra batteries give much longer total shooting time than a single-pack kit.
Q: Is the DJI RC 2 remote a screen controller, or do I need to connect a phone?
A: The included DJI RC 2 is a dedicated remote controller, so a phone is not required for basic flying and live view. That can make setup faster outdoors and keeps the drone ready to fly without relying on a separate handset.
Q: Is the DJI Air 3 suitable for filming in windy coastal or open areas?
A: Yes, it has wind resistance rated to 12m/s, which helps it hold position and capture steadier footage in breezy conditions. Very strong gusts can still shorten flight time and affect movement, so calmer weather is better for the cleanest shots.
Q: What is the benefit of the DJI Air 3's dual-camera setup for photography and video?
A: The dual-camera design gives more framing flexibility than a single wide camera. Combined with up to 9x digital zoom, it is useful for switching between broader landscape shots and tighter compositions without needing to fly as close to the subject.
Q: Is the DJI Air 3 a good choice for colour grading and editing footage later?
A: Yes. It supports HLG and D-Log M 10-bit recording, which gives more scope for colour adjustment than standard footage. That is useful if you plan to edit seriously, while standard profiles may be simpler for quick sharing straight from the drone.
