Overall Rating Snapshot
5 out of 5 stars from 1 review
100% of users recommend this product
High quality dehumidifier
Works so well using little energy! Made an amazing difference to the worst room in the house which was evident in the amount of water extracted. Highly recommend this machine which is efficient and quiet instead of moisture packs which make no difference.

Key benefits
- 4l tank capacity: Holds a practical amount of collected water before needing to be emptied, helping reduce day-to-day maintenance.
- 75m3 ROOM SUITABILITY: Well matched to small-to-medium rooms where targeted moisture control is needed.
- Laundry function: Helps support faster indoor clothes drying by pulling excess moisture from the air.
- Adjustable humidistat: Lets you set your preferred humidity level for more tailored comfort.
- Continuous drainage: Gives you the option to run with less manual tank emptying when a drain setup is available.
- Bio silver, anti allergy and active carbon filters: Adds extra air treatment support for homes concerned about particles and odours.
- 145m3/hr MAXIMUM AIRFLOW: Provides solid air movement for steady moisture removal in everyday home use.
- 205w power draw: Uses a modest 205W during operation, helping keep running demand reasonable for regular use.
Q: Does this dehumidifier need emptying often, or can it drain continuously?
A: Yes. The DeLonghi DEP216 has a 4 L tank for normal use, and it also supports continuous drainage for longer runs. Continuous drainage is the better setup for damp rooms or laundry use, because you are not relying on the tank alone.
Q: Will the DEP216 suit a large open-plan living room?
A: No. DeLonghi rates the DEP216 for rooms up to 75 m3, so it is better matched to a bedroom, study or smaller living area. In a large open-plan space, moisture removal will be slower and less even across the room.
Q: Is the laundry mode strong enough for everyday clothes drying?
A: Yes, for a standard laundry or drying corner. DeLonghi DEP216 combines a laundry function with 145 m3/hr airflow and continuous drainage, but it is intended to assist indoor drying rather than replace a tumble dryer for large loads.
Q: Can I leave the DEP216 in a bedroom overnight?
A: Yes, if bedroom-sized coverage suits your space. DeLonghi DEP216 is designed for small to medium rooms, but it is not positioned as a specifically quiet model, so sensitive sleepers may prefer a lower fan speed or placement further from the bed.
Q: What do the DEP216 filters actually cover?
A: DeLonghi DEP216 uses bio silver, anti allergy and active carbon filters. That setup adds air treatment alongside moisture removal, but it does not replace a dedicated air purifier if your main goal is particle filtration across a larger space.
Q: How easy is the DeLonghi DEP216 to move room to room?
A: DeLonghi DEP216 is manageable to move between rooms because it weighs 12 kg and has compact box dimensions of 530 mm high, 360 mm wide and 300 mm deep. It is a floor unit, so it suits occasional repositioning more than constant carrying.
