At a glance
The DeLonghi 360 Degree Pedestal Cooling Fan is a pedestal fan built for broad airflow in bedrooms, living rooms and dining areas. It suits households wanting elevated air circulation, simple controls and flexible comfort settings, including three speeds, three modes and a timer. Its main strength is room-wide coverage with convenient remote operation. The trade-off is that it is better for general circulation than highly targeted cooling.
What it’s great for
- Shared room cooling
- Bedroom airflow
- Living room air circulation
- General home comfort
- Elevated airflow around furniture
Where it works best
- Bedroom
- Living room
- Dining area
- Lounge room
- Larger shared spaces
Who it’s for
- Apartment resident
- Family household
- Light sleeper wanting adjustable airflow
- Home user
- Renter
Things to consider
This fan is designed for wide room circulation, so it may feel less focused than specialist high-velocity or precision-direction fans when you want strong airflow aimed at one spot.
Bedroom quietness score
7/10 - suitable for bedroom use thanks to multiple speeds and wind modes, but no specific low-noise rating is provided
Room size suitability
Best suited to medium to large bedrooms, living rooms and shared home spaces
Portability rating
6/10 - easier to reposition than fixed cooling options, though the pedestal format is less compact than smaller fans
Ease of assembly
Simple home assembly expected for a pedestal fan with user-friendly everyday controls
Key benefits
- 360 Degree Oscillation: Helps move air across more of the room instead of concentrating airflow in one narrow direction.
- Adjustable Height: Lets you raise airflow above floor level for better use around beds, lounges and dining settings.
- Three Speed Settings: Gives you simple control over airflow strength for changing weather and comfort needs.
- Three Wind Modes: Offers more than one airflow style, including options that can feel gentler for quieter use.
- Remote Control: Makes it easier to change settings from bed, the sofa or across the room.
- LED Screen: Provides clear at-a-glance visibility of selected settings.
- 4-Option Timer: Allows automatic shut-off with four timer choices for overnight or unattended use.
- Sturdy Pedestal Design: Supports stable placement in larger rooms where flexible positioning is useful.
Q: Is this fan better for whole-room airflow or direct cooling?
A: It is better for broad room circulation. The 360 degree oscillation spreads airflow around shared spaces, so it suits bedrooms and living areas more than one fixed seat where a narrow, constantly directed stream is preferred.
Q: Can I leave this pedestal fan on overnight?
A: Yes. Sleep mode and the 8 hour timer make it suitable for overnight use, and the remote lets you change settings without getting up. It is still a fan rather than an air conditioner, so it moves air instead of lowering room temperature.
Q: Does the airflow reach above bed or lounge height?
A: Yes. The pedestal design lifts airflow above floor level, and the height is adjustable to suit beds, lounges or dining areas. This makes placement more flexible than a low fan, but vertical positioning still needs to be set manually.
Q: How many timer options does the DeLonghi DEAPF40WH have?
A: DeLonghi DEAPF40WH has 4 timer options: 1, 2, 4 and 8 hours. That gives short shut-off choices for a nap or evening use, but there is no minute-by-minute timer adjustment between those set intervals.
Q: What wind modes are available on this DeLonghi fan?
A: This DeLonghi fan has 3 wind modes: Normal, Nature and Sleep. That gives a straightforward choice between steady daytime airflow and a gentler overnight pattern, rather than lots of fine speed steps to tune manually.
Q: Is the remote enough for daily control from bed?
A: Yes. The remote gives access to the main operating settings and works with the LED screen for quick checks from across the room. It is useful in a bedroom or lounge, though height and placement still need to be adjusted by hand.
