Good little aircon machine. Very easy to Setup and cools the room after a period. The quiet function does affect the sound level but it still makes a fair amount of noise.

So far so good
This product has performed as expected and advertised, so far. We bought it for the chicken shed to keep them alive through the hot nights, etc. It is as quiet and predicted and is working well. We cover it when not in use to keep it clean. Filters are easily accessible. The only adjustment we had to make was to screw the end of the exhaust pipe into the exhaust pipe holder, as it separates and falls down otherwise. It would be beneficial if the exhaust pipe were longer to provide more room for movement and allow the air conditioner to be positioned in different positions.

Does a pretty good job.
For 30-35 degree days it goes alright in keeping the living area cool, but the recent 42 degree day was the real test. Kept the immediate area around it livable but don’t expect it to keep up at that temp. But what portable air con would honestly. Overall a good unit…easy enough to move from room to room unless there are stairs.

Delonghi 2.6kW Portable Air Conditioner
Works well for a 15m2 room that gets baked by the sun. Comes with all the fittings and is relatively easy to install.

Beautifully cool and quiet.
I really enjoy my air conditioner. I loved the quiet feature as I can still watch television while running the unit. It's enough to cool lounge room adequately. Next I'll get a window unit as it takes up room. And the window vent is bulky but i expected that when buying it. Definitely a great unit to have and I recommend it over others that I tried.

Its amazing
I am expecting it would be so loud/noisy as what others mentioned on the review, but as I bought it and try, it wasnt that loud it was actually the same noice of a window type aircon… it also have a mode of silent you can set to make the machine quiet. It can make a 2 bedroom cold enought, I am really happy with delonghi products, it never fail my expectation. Worth the money for this portable aircon, summer will be comportable and chill.

Keeping cool!
Keeps room cool, and gets cool quite quick once turned on. Not overly loud, only issue is the exhaust hose don’t seem to stay locked once extended. The next unit size up however, clicks in and looks a lot better (only realised after purchase)

At a glance
This DeLonghi portable air conditioner is a practical cooling option for small to medium rooms, especially for renters or anyone needing a unit they can move between spaces. Its strengths are quiet 50 dBA operation, built-in dehumidifying and easy window venting. The main limitation is that it is cooling-only and not as powerful or feature-rich as premium smart inverter models.

Room size suitability
Best suited to small to medium rooms up to 90 m3
Portability rating
8/10 - built-in handles and castors make it easy to reposition around the home
Noise level vs category average
8/10 - 50 dBA silent mode is relatively quiet for a portable air conditioner

5/10 - no inverter technology or stated star rating, so efficiency credentials are limited from the available specs

Key benefits
- 2.6kW Cooling Capacity: Delivers effective spot cooling for small to medium rooms up to 90 m3.
- Silent Mode: Runs at 50 dBA, helping make it more suitable for bedrooms and quieter evening use.
- Dehumidifier Function: Helps reduce excess moisture and improve comfort in humid conditions.
- Up to 50 L Moisture Extraction Per 24 Hours: Provides strong moisture removal performance for damp rooms and muggy weather.
- Three Fan Speeds: Lets you adjust airflow to match changing comfort needs through the day and night.

Q: Does it need to vent through a window to cool properly?
A: Yes. This portable air conditioner needs its exhaust vented outside during cooling, and a window kit is included for most standard windows. It is not designed to cool effectively if the hot air is left inside the room.
Q: Is 50 dBA quiet enough for sleeping in a bedroom?
A: DeLonghi PACEM93KSILENT has a Silent mode rated at 50 dBA, which is suitable for many bedrooms and overnight use. It is still a portable air conditioner, so there will be audible fan and compressor noise while it is running.
Q: Will this cool an open plan living room effectively?
A: It can cool an open area if the space stays within the 90m3 room size guide. Large open-plan rooms, high ceilings, or adjoining spaces make portable units work harder, so cooling will feel more localised than with a fixed system.
Q: Can I use this DeLonghi without Wi-Fi or an app?
A: Yes. DeLonghi PACEM93KSILENT does not use Wi-Fi and can be operated directly with the supplied remote control. That suits buyers who want simple controls, but it also means there is no app setup or remote access away from home.
Q: How easy is it to move between different rooms?
A: This model is straightforward to move on the same level because it has built-in handles and castors. Each room still needs a practical venting point for the window kit, so portability is easiest where setup can be repeated without much rearranging.
Q: What does the dehumidifier function actually do in humid weather?
A: DeLonghi PACEM93KSILENT includes a dehumidifier function that can extract 50L of moisture per 24 hours. That helps reduce the damp, sticky feel in humid conditions, but it does not change the unit's room size limits for effective cooling.
