Quiet Keyboard
TGG sales assistant helped me find this quiet keyboard with soft touch keys. It really does make a difference when making phone calls. The keys are soft to touch and my fingers are happier at the end of the day. The mouse is quick and responsive and fits my hand perfectly.

Best suited for work and productivity; not optimised for gaming due to standard polling rates and lack of macro keys.

6/10 - Compact and lightweight, but not ultra-slim or travel-focused.

Lower than average - Quiet key switches minimise typing noise in shared environments.
Key benefits
- Wireless Convenience: Reduces desk clutter and allows flexible placement without cables.
- Long Battery Life: Up to 12 months of battery life minimises interruptions and maintenance.
- Quiet Typing: Low-profile keys provide a quieter typing experience, suitable for shared spaces.
- Comfortable Design: Full-size keyboard layout and contoured mouse support extended use.
- Plug-and-Play Setup: Easy USB receiver connection for quick installation across devices.

Q: Does the Dell Pro Wireless Keyboard & Mouse use Bluetooth?
A: No. The KM5221W uses a 2.4GHz RF wireless connection rather than Bluetooth, so it needs its compatible USB receiver to connect. That matters if your device has no spare USB-A port or if you want to pair directly without a dongle.
Q: Can the Dell KM5221W connect without the USB receiver?
A: No. Because this model uses 2.4GHz RF wireless and not Bluetooth, it is designed to connect through its USB receiver rather than pairing directly with a laptop or tablet. If dongle-free use is important, this model is not the right fit.
Q: How do you pair the Dell KM5221W keyboard and mouse?
A: Pairing is typically done by plugging the compatible USB receiver into the computer, then turning on the keyboard and mouse so they connect over 2.4GHz RF. It is a simpler setup than Bluetooth, but it does rely on having the receiver available.
Q: What battery life can you expect from the Dell KM5221W?
A: Dell quotes battery life of up to 36 months under typical office-style use. Actual life varies with daily hours, battery quality and how often programmable features are used, so heavier use may mean changing batteries sooner.
Q: Is the Dell KM5221W a good choice for spreadsheet and office work?
A: Yes. This is a full-sized keyboard and mouse set with a dedicated numeric pad, which suits data entry, spreadsheets and general office tasks better than compact layouts. The trade-off is that it takes more desk space than a mini keyboard.
Q: Can you customise the Dell KM5221W for shortcuts or mouse sensitivity?
A: Yes. Dell Peripheral Manager supports shortcut customisation for the programmable keys and mouse button, and lets you switch DPI presets at 1000, 1600, 2400 or 4000. That makes it more flexible than a basic fixed-setting office combo.
