This Dell 27" QHD 144Hz monitor has been a fantastic upgrade for both work and gaming. The QHD resolution is sharp and crisp for everyday tasks, spreadsheets, and browsing, while the 144Hz refresh rate makes a noticeable difference in smoothness for fast-paced games and general scrolling. Build quality feels solid and premium, matching what you'd expect from Dell, and the stand offers good height and tilt adjustment for comfortable positioning. For the price, it's hard to find another monitor that combines this resolution, refresh rate, and reliability so well!

I plug a fire stick into the HDMI port and watch movies on this monitor. No speakers built-in....no problem.....used the fire stick Bluetooth feature to connect to my separate Bluetooth speakers.

The Dell 27 QHD 144Hz Monitor is a versatile 27-inch display with a sharp QHD resolution and a smooth 144Hz refresh rate, making it a strong choice for gamers and multitaskers. Its IPS panel delivers wide viewing angles and vibrant colours, while TÜV-certified eye comfort reduces strain during long sessions. One limitation: it lacks advanced features like USB-C or built-in speakers found in premium models.
Does not include premium connectivity options like USB-C or integrated speakers; advanced users may want more adjustability or features.
8/10 - High refresh rate and low response time are excellent for mainstream gaming, but lacks advanced gaming features like G-SYNC or FreeSync Premium.
Strong fit for home office setups needing a sharp, comfortable display for productivity and video calls.
7/10 - IPS panel offers good colour accuracy for general use, but not calibrated for professional design work.
Slim bezels and standard VESA mount make it well-suited for multi-monitor arrangements.
8/10 - TÜV-certified for reduced blue light and flicker, supporting long working or gaming sessions.
A: It suits both, but its strongest advantage is smooth motion. The 144Hz refresh rate and 1ms MPRT help fast games look clearer, while the 27 inch QHD IPS panel also gives more workspace and sharper text than a 27 inch Full HD screen.
A: QHD means 2560 x 1440 resolution, which is noticeably sharper than Full HD at this 27 inch size. It gives more room for side-by-side windows and finer detail in documents, web pages and games without stepping up to a larger screen.
A: This model does not include a height-adjustable stand, so the screen position cannot be raised or lowered from the base. That matters if desk ergonomics are a priority, especially for longer work sessions or if the monitor sits on a low desk.
A: It refers to Moving Picture Response Time, a motion-blur measurement used for clearer fast movement on screen. It is most relevant for gaming and video, and it should not be treated as the same thing as every grey-to-grey response time figure used on other monitors.
A: Yes. The IPS panel is generally the better choice if the screen is viewed from different positions or used for mixed tasks like work, streaming and casual editing. Compared with many basic panel types, IPS usually keeps colour and contrast more consistent off-centre.
A: It means the monitor has been certified against eye comfort criteria rather than simply claiming it. In practice, that is aimed at reducing strain during longer viewing sessions, which is useful if the screen will be used for work, study or extended gaming.
