Does the job
Chose this mainly for the adjustable height. Controls and adjustment are easy. Works well on WOWs COD CC3 which are the only games I have tried it with so far.

At a glance
The Dell S2422HG is a 24 inch curved gaming monitor suited to players who want smooth motion, solid contrast and an adjustable stand without stepping into premium pricing. It is especially good for fast-paced games, home setups and general use. Its main limitation is the Full HD resolution and smaller 23.6 inch screen, which offer less workspace and sharpness than larger QHD alternatives.

Things to consider
It is strong for smooth Full HD gaming, but users wanting sharper detail, more desktop space or higher-end HDR performance may prefer a larger QHD or premium gaming monitor.
Gaming suitability score
9/10 - Fast 165Hz refresh rate, 1ms MPRT and FreeSync support make it a strong fit for responsive Full HD gaming.
Home office fit
Good for mixed work and play thanks to the ergonomic stand, compact footprint and strong contrast, though Full HD on 23.6 inches offers less workspace than larger office-focused monitors.
Colour accuracy rating
8/10 - 99% sRGB coverage is well suited to everyday media use and casual creative work.
Multi-monitor setup compatibility
Good - 3-sided ultrathin bezels help create a cleaner dual-monitor layout, though the curved panel may not suit every multi-screen preference.
Eye comfort score
7/10 - The adjustable stand supports better posture and positioning, but it is not positioned as a specialist eye-care monitor.
Key benefits
- 165Hz Refresh Rate: Delivers smoother on-screen motion for fast shooters, racing games and other high-speed gameplay.
- 1ms MPRT Response Time: Helps reduce perceived motion blur so moving targets stay clearer during action-heavy scenes.
- 1500R Curved Screen: Wraps the image more naturally into your field of view for a more immersive desktop gaming experience.
- VA Panel with 3000:1 Static Contrast Ratio: Produces deeper blacks and stronger contrast, which can look better in darker games and movies.
- AMD FreeSync Compatibility: Syncs the display with supported graphics output to reduce screen tearing and stutter.
- Adjustable Height Ergonomic Stand: Makes it easier to set a more comfortable viewing position for long gaming or work sessions.
- 99% sRGB Colour Coverage: Supports more accurate-looking colour for everyday content creation, streaming and general media use.
- 3-Sided Ultrathin Bezel: Keeps the screen looking cleaner and helps the monitor fit more neatly into multi-screen setups.
Q: Can I connect a PC and console at the same time
A: Yes. Dell S2422HG has two HDMI 2.0 ports and one DisplayPort 1.2, so a PC and console can stay connected together. It only shows one source at a time, so you switch inputs in the monitor menu when changing devices.
Q: Is this Dell curved monitor suitable for PS5 or Xbox
A: Yes. Dell S2422HG can take a console over HDMI for Full HD gaming on a desk-friendly screen. Its highest-refresh setup is best matched to supported output settings, so the final refresh rate depends on the console and the game.
Q: Does the Dell S2422HG have built-in speakers for game audio
A: No. Dell S2422HG includes a headphone out for audio pass-through, but built-in speakers are not listed for this model. Plan on using headphones or separate speakers if you want sound directly from the monitor setup.
Q: Is the S2422HG good for photo editing and design work
A: Yes, for casual work. Dell S2422HG covers 99% of the sRGB colour gamut, which suits web images, study projects and general content creation. It is less suited to colour-critical or high-detail work where higher resolution is the priority.
Q: Can this monitor be mounted on a monitor arm or wall
A: Yes. Dell S2422HG supports VESA mounting, so it can go on a monitor arm or a compatible wall bracket instead of the included stand. Check that the mount matches the monitor's VESA pattern before buying.
Q: What does the 0.5 star energy rating mean in use
A: Dell S2422HG has a 0.5 star energy rating. A lower star rating generally means higher running costs than other 24 inch monitors with a higher rating, so this model is aimed more at gaming features than energy efficiency.
