At a glance
The Cygnett TekView Case is a slim folio case for compatible iPad Air and iPad Pro models, suited to students, commuters and everyday users who want practical protection without much bulk. Its strengths are 4 ft drop protection, three viewing angles and Apple Pencil storage. One limitation is that it is designed for general daily use rather than heavy-duty rugged protection.

iPad Air 13-inch (M2, M3, M4); iPad Pro 12.9-inch (Gen 1-5)
Work/study enhancement score
8/10 - strong for note-taking, typing and viewing thanks to the folio stand, Pencil storage and auto sleep/wake.
Travel friendliness
8/10 - slim folio design and 4 ft drop protection make it well suited to commuting and everyday carry.
Durability vs style
7/10 - a good balance of clean folio styling and practical protection, but less rugged than heavy-duty alternatives.
Key benefits
- 4 ft Drop Protection: Helps guard your iPad from everyday knocks and short falls up to 4 ft.
- Wrap-Around Folio Design: Covers the front and back of the device for more complete everyday protection.
- Soft Microfiber Interior: Adds a gentler lining against the screen and inner surfaces during daily use.
- Three Viewing Positions: Folds into 3 fixed angles to support typing, reading and watching content.
- Precision Cut-Outs: Keeps ports, buttons and camera areas easy to access without removing the case.
- Auto Sleep and Wake Support: Turns the screen behaviour on cover open and close into a more convenient daily routine.
- Apple Pencil Storage: Provides a built-in place to store your Apple Pencil when moving between classes or meetings.
- Magnetic Charging Cut-Out: Allows compatible Apple Pencil magnetic attachment and charging while the case is on.
Q: Will this case fit older iPad Pro 12.9-inch models too
A: Yes. This case is listed for iPad Pro 12.9-inch models from Gen 1 to Gen 5 as well as iPad Air 13-inch. It is shaped for those specific models, so camera, button and speaker alignment should not be assumed on other iPads.
Q: Can Apple Pencil attach and charge without removing the case
A: Yes. It has a dedicated side cut-out for Apple Pencil magnetic attachment and charging, plus built-in storage when the folio is closed. That suits everyday carry, but it is designed around Apple Pencil placement rather than loose stylus storage.
Q: Does the folio stand give fully adjustable viewing angles
A: No. The folio folds into three fixed viewing positions rather than a free-angle stand. That makes it practical for typing, reading and watching at a desk, but it gives less fine angle adjustment than a kickstand or hinge-style case.
Q: How protective is the TekView case for travel and daily knocks
A: Cygnett TekView Case is rated for drops up to 4 feet, which suits everyday knocks and shorter falls in normal use. It is still a slim folio case, so buyers wanting heavier-duty protection for rough handling may prefer a more rugged style.
Q: Does the cover wake the iPad automatically when opened
A: Yes. The cover supports automatic sleep and wake, so the screen turns on when opened and sleeps when closed. That is convenient for frequent note taking or quick checks, but it depends on a compatible iPad model supporting that function.
