At a glance
The Cygnett TekView is a folio case for iPad 10.2-inch models that adds everyday protection, stand functionality and a handy Pencil holder in a colourful purple finish. It suits students, home users and anyone carrying their iPad between classes or rooms. Key strengths are simple front-and-back coverage and easier typing or viewing angles. Its main limitation is that it offers less rugged drop protection than heavier-duty cases.

Work/study enhancement score
8/10 - stand angles and Pencil storage make it well suited to note-taking, reading and desk use
Travel friendliness
8/10 - slim folio design is easy to carry, though it is not as protective as rugged travel-focused cases
Durability vs style
7/10 - offers a good balance of everyday protection and a stylish finish, with durability aimed more at daily wear than harsh conditions
Key benefits
- Folio Cover: Helps protect both the screen and rear of the iPad during everyday carrying and storage.
- Built-In Pencil Holder: Keeps a stylus stored with the case so it is easier to carry for class, notes or sketching.
- Viewing Stand Design: Supports hands-free screen positioning for video calls, streaming or reading.
- Typing Angle Support: Makes on-screen typing and study tasks more comfortable on a desk or table.
- Slim Everyday Profile: Adds practical protection without the bulk of a heavy-duty rugged case.
- Secure Fitted Shell: Helps keep the iPad in place inside the case during normal daily use.
- Purple Finish: Adds a distinctive look that is easy to spot in a bag, classroom or shared workspace.
- Portable Cover Format: Folds closed for easier packing in backpacks, totes and everyday bags.
Q: Does the Cygnett TekView case fit all iPad models with a 10.2-inch screen?
A: No. A 10.2-inch TekView case is made for iPads with that exact body size and button layout, not newer 10.9-inch, 11-inch or iPad Air designs. Camera, speaker and port cut-outs need to line up correctly for a proper fit.
Q: Can the built-in pencil holder charge an Apple Pencil while it is stored?
A: No. The holder is for carrying a stylus securely, not for charging it. On compatible 10.2-inch iPads, Apple Pencil charging is handled separately, so storing the pencil in the loop or holder will not recharge it between uses.
Q: Is this folio case better for typing or for watching videos on an iPad 10.2?
A: It is designed to do both, but folio stands are usually strongest in landscape. That makes them practical for streaming, video calls and light typing on a desk, while lap use is typically less stable than a keyboard case with a rigid base.
Q: Will a TekView-style case make the iPad 10.2 much bulkier to carry?
A: It adds some thickness and weight compared with a snap-on shell, because the front cover and stand structure protect both sides. The trade-off is better screen protection and easier propped-up viewing when travelling or commuting.
