At a glance
The Crest RGB Christmas String Lights (10M) are a value-focused decorative lighting option for shoppers who want colourful ambience without a complex setup. They suit small to medium areas, with a flexible clear cable that is easy to shape around windows, railings or compact trees. USB power adds placement flexibility, especially with power banks or adapters. The main limitation is that the 10 m length is better for smaller displays than large-scale decorating.

Things to consider
This 10 m set is best for small to medium spaces and may not provide the scale or advanced effects that larger premium display lighting systems offer.
Child suitability
Suitable for family areas as decorative lighting, but best installed out of reach of very young children due to cable management needs.
Energy efficiency score
8/10 - LED string lights typically use low power, and USB operation suits modest decorative lighting needs.
Portability rating
9/10 - lightweight 10 m string format and USB power make it easy to move, store and reuse in different spots.
Brightness vs category average
6/10 - suited to decorative ambience rather than strong illumination, which is typical for USB-powered RGB string lights.
Ease of use score
8/10 - straightforward to place and power through USB, with a flexible cable that is easy to arrange.
Key benefits
- RGB Colour Lighting: Adds vibrant red, green and blue tones for a more playful festive look than single-colour strings.
- 10 m Length: Covers small to medium decorating zones such as windows, balcony rails or compact trees without excess cable.
- Flexible String Design: Wraps easily around frames, railings and branches so you can shape the layout to suit your space.
- USB Powered Operation: Can run from a USB wall adapter or compatible power bank for more placement options.
- Clear Cable: Blends into most backgrounds so the coloured lights stand out more than the wiring.
- Compact-Space Friendly: Well suited to apartments and smaller homes where a shorter decorative run is more practical.
- Simple Decorative Lighting: Offers an easy way to add seasonal ambience without needing a complicated installation.
- 1 Year Manufacturer's Warranty: Adds basic purchase reassurance for seasonal use.
Q: Can these Christmas lights run from a USB power bank?
A: Yes. Crest RGB Christmas String Lights use USB power, so they can run from a portable power bank as well as a USB wall adaptor. The USB connection is for power only, not app control or a built-in rechargeable battery.
Q: Are these bright enough to light a whole room?
A: No. Crest RGB Christmas String Lights are designed for decorative ambience rather than bright room lighting. They suit accent use on a tree, window or balcony edge, but they are not intended to replace a main lamp or ceiling light.
Q: Are these suited to indoor use or covered outdoor areas?
A: Crest RGB Christmas String Lights suit indoor decorating and similar sheltered setups, such as a covered entertaining area or balcony. The USB-powered design is aimed at decorative placement, not exposed permanent outdoor installation.
Q: What area does the 10 metre light string actually suit?
A: The 10 metre length suits small to medium decorating jobs, such as outlining a window, wrapping a compact tree or running along a balcony. It is better for accent coverage than a large display that needs multiple sections of lights.
Q: Can I shape these lights around railings and window frames?
A: Yes. The flexible string design suits wrapping around railings, frames and a compact Christmas tree. It is made for decorative shaping rather than tight bends or heavy tension, so a gentler setup is the better fit for repeated seasonal use.
Q: Do the Crest RGB string lights have a cable that stands out?
A: No. Crest LIK11119 uses a clear cable, so the wiring is less noticeable against many backgrounds and the coloured LEDs stay the focus. The string can still be visible at close range, especially on dark surfaces or in daylight.
