Its strengths are frost free operation, even cooling, adjustable humidity storage, and a reversible door for easier placement. A fair limitation is that its 348L capacity may feel tight for larger families or bulk shoppers.

Key benefits
- 348L total capacity: Provides practical everyday storage with 270L for fresh food and 78L for frozen items.
- Reversible door: Lets you change the door swing to better suit kitchen layouts, walls, and cabinetry.
- Humidity control crisper drawer: Helps keep fruit and vegetables fresher by adjusting moisture levels for different produce.
- Multi Air Flow: Circulates cool air across each shelf to reduce warm spots and support more even cooling.
- Fast Cooling function: Quickly lowers the fridge temperature after loading new groceries.
- Frost Free operation: Eliminates the need for manual defrosting and helps maintain consistent storage conditions.
- 5 star energy rating: Offers strong energy performance for an Australian top mount fridge in this size range.
- 3 year manufacturer's warranty: Adds peace of mind for everyday household use.
Q: Is this fridge a good second fridge for families
A: Yes. The 348L capacity gives useful overflow space for drinks, fresh food and extra groceries, so it works well as a second household fridge. The trade-off is a top mount layout gives less frozen storage than a setup aimed at bulk freezer use.
Q: Will the freezer fit bulk meat and frozen meal storage
A: No. This design gives more space to the fridge than the freezer, so it suits everyday frozen basics better than bulk buying. If you regularly stock large meat packs, batch-cooked meals or extra freezer boxes, the top section may feel limited.
Q: Can the door be swapped to suit my kitchen layout
A: Yes. The door is reversible, so the hinge can be changed to better suit the side clearance in your kitchen. That helps when the fridge needs to open away from a wall or cabinet, but the cavity still needs enough room for the door swing.
Q: How efficient is this 348L fridge to run every day
A: CHiQ CTM347NB5E has a 3.5 star energy rating. A higher star rating generally means lower running costs than a similar 348L top mount fridge with a lower rating, but room temperature and door-opening habits still affect electricity use.
Q: Does Frost Free mean the freezer never needs manual defrosting
A: Yes. Frost Free operation means this fridge is designed to prevent the heavy ice build-up that leads to manual defrosting. It saves maintenance and helps keep airflow more consistent, though frequent door opening can still make the compressor work harder.
Q: How does Fast Cooling help after a big grocery shop
A: Fast Cooling lowers the fridge temperature quickly after fresh groceries are loaded, helping it recover after the door has been open during unpacking. It will not chill warm items instantly, so dense foods still need normal cooling time.
