At a glance
This genuine Canon combo pack includes one black and one colour cartridge for compatible PIXMA printers, making it a practical choice for households and home offices that print documents and photos occasionally. It offers straightforward installation, reliable print quality and broad model compatibility. The main limitation is its standard capacity, so frequent printers may need replacements sooner than with higher-yield alternatives.

Things to consider
These are standard-capacity cartridges, so they are better for light or occasional printing than for high-volume users who may get better long-term value from higher-yield options.
Printer compatibility assessment
9/10 - Strong compatibility across many Canon PIXMA MG and MX models commonly used in homes and small offices.
Page yield value score
6/10 - Suitable for occasional printing, but standard-capacity cartridges offer less long-run value than higher-yield alternatives for frequent users.
Ease of replacement rating
9/10 - Straightforward genuine Canon cartridge swap for supported PIXMA printers.
Business vs home suitability
Best suited to home and light home office use; acceptable for small business users with modest print volumes.

- Black And Colour In One Pack: Covers everyday monochrome documents and colour printing in a single purchase.
- Standard Capacity Format: A practical match for lighter printing needs without committing to larger cartridges.
- Broad PIXMA Compatibility: Works with a wide range of Canon PIXMA MG and MX series printers, making replacement simpler for many households.
- Document And Photo Printing: Suitable for both everyday paperwork and colour photo output from one combo pack.
- Simple Cartridge Replacement: Easy-to-install cartridge design helps reduce hassle when it is time to replace ink.

Q: Is the Canon PG640 and CL641 Combo Pack a direct replacement for my current cartridges?
A: Yes, if the printer uses Canon PG-640 black and CL-641 colour cartridges, this pack is the matching genuine replacement set. Check the cartridge code on the current ink or the printer’s compatible consumables list before buying.
Q: Does this combo pack include standard or XL capacity cartridges?
A: This combo pack is the standard-capacity version, with 1 x PG-640 black and 1 x CL-641 colour cartridge. If the printer also supports XL, PG-640XL and CL-641XL are higher-yield alternatives for heavier printing.
Q: What is the difference between this PG640 and CL641 combo pack and the XL versions?
A: The main difference is page yield, not fit. Standard PG-640 and CL-641 cartridges suit lighter or occasional printing, while XL versions usually print more pages before replacement, which can lower the cost per page for frequent use.
Q: Can I print in black only if the colour cartridge is empty with this Canon combo pack?
A: Not always. Many Canon PIXMA printers that use PG-640 and CL-641 need both cartridges installed for normal printing and printer maintenance, even if most of the pages are black text, so an empty colour cartridge can still stop printing.
Q: Is this a genuine Canon ink combo pack or a compatible replacement?
A: This is a genuine Canon combo pack with 1 black and 1 colour cartridge, not a third-party compatible set. It is designed for Canon printers that specify PG-640 and CL-641, which can help avoid fit and recognition issues.
