Update 2, too early to tell.
Oops, Date Set... My 70+ year old eyes didn't let me see the Date Set on the Instruction Card, sorry. I've asked The Good Guys to delete my reviews, their starting to read like an Agatha Christie Mystery, now. I may have the long-covid brain -fog and perhaps should leave Reviews to the Influencer Generation.

Update, too early to tell.
Yes, no power supply is disappointing as well as can't find date set instructions, may need to find manual on web site. My first photos were all very close-up photos, documents etc. resulting in problems, perhaps not designed for this situation. No outside photos as yet.

The Camp Snap 1 Digital Camera is a simple screen-free compact camera for kids, families and travellers who want easy point-and-shoot photos without menus or distractions. Its strengths are straightforward operation, good portability, built-in flash and long storage capacity. The main limitation is that it lacks a screen, so you cannot preview or adjust shots on the camera.

Things to consider
This camera prioritises simplicity over control, so it is less suitable than premium compact cameras for users who want image preview, manual settings, zoom flexibility or higher-end low-light performance.
Travel portability rating
9/10 - compact 11.4 x 6.4 x 2.5 cm body is easy to pack for day trips and holidays
Beginner friendliness score
10/10 - no complex menus and simple controls make it very easy for first-time users
Low light performance score
6/10 - the f/1.8 lens and built-in flash help indoors, but it is still a basic casual-use camera
Vlogging suitability
Low - designed for screen-free still photography rather than self-recording or video-led content creation
Battery endurance rating
8/10 - up to 500 photos per charge is strong for casual everyday shooting and travel use
Key benefits
- Screen-Free Design: Helps you focus on the moment instead of reviewing shots while shooting.
- Simple Point-and-Shoot Controls: Easy operation makes it approachable for kids, beginners and casual users.
- 500 Photos Per Charge: Delivers solid battery life for day trips, weekends away and casual travel use.
- Pre-Installed 4GB Memory Card: Stores up to 2000 photos before you need to export images.
- Built-In LED Flash: Helps capture usable shots indoors or in dimmer conditions.
- Downloadable Film Styles: Lets you switch between looks such as vintage and black and white for more creative results.
- USB-C Image Export: Makes transferring photos to a computer or compatible device straightforward.
- Compact Body: Small dimensions make it easy to carry in a bag for everyday outings and travel.
Q: Does the Camp Snap 1 Digital Camera have a screen for reviewing photos?
A: No. This Camp Snap 1 is a screen-free camera, so photos are viewed after transferring them to another device. That keeps shooting simple and distraction-free, but it also means there is no on-camera preview or menu-based image checking.
Q: How many photos can the Camp Snap 1 store before images need to be transferred?
A: It stores about 2000 photos on the pre-installed 4GB memory card. Once that card is full, images need to be exported to a computer or compatible device before shooting more, because storage is not described as unlimited or cloud-based.
Q: How do you transfer photos from the Camp Snap 1 camera?
A: Photos are transferred using the included USB-C cable. Connect the camera to a compatible device to export the files from the pre-installed memory card, which is more practical than removing the card for everyday use.
Q: Can the Camp Snap 1 take photos in low light or indoors?
A: Yes. It has a built-in LED flash with a simple flash selector switch for darker scenes indoors or at night. It is still a basic point-and-shoot camera, so motion blur and dim ambient light can affect results more than on advanced models.
Q: Can you change the photo look on the Camp Snap 1, such as vintage or black and white?
A: Yes. This model supports multiple downloadable image filter options, including film-style looks such as vintage and black and white. These give the camera a more stylised output without adding a screen or complex shooting controls.
Q: Is the Camp Snap 1 suited to simple everyday shooting rather than close-up detail work?
A: Yes. The Camp Snap 1 is built as a simple screen-free point-and-shoot for casual memories and travel-style snaps. It is less suited to close-up document shots or precise composition, because there is no screen and no advanced shooting controls listed.
