iRobot Roomba vacuums do not require constant power, as they run on battery and only draw power when docked for charging.

It's always best to refer to the usual manual, but in general there should be a bin release button to access the vacuum's bin compartment in order to empty it. The filter can be slid out from the vacuum, then gently shake off debris by tapping against a rubbish bin. Roombas are not dishwasher safe and the bin can be rinsed by hand only. The filter cannot be washed and must be replaced as needed.
