Great speaker!
Great product. I like the fact that you can leave it plugged in and it draws from the power cable, and as soon as you unplug to take portable it goes off the battery which last a long time. Very crisp sound and easily connects to your phone. You can customise the EQ to your liking. As someone who enjoyed high quality music listening experience, I have No regrets with this purchase

At a glance
The Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 is a premium portable Bluetooth speaker for people who want reliable sound on the go, whether at the beach, by the pool, or around the house. Its main strengths are durable IP67 protection, easy portability, balanced audio from multiple positions, and simple speaker pairing. The main limitation is that battery life and output are solid rather than class-leading versus larger premium speakers.

Battery endurance rating
7/10 - up to 12 hours is reliable for day use, though some larger rivals last longer

Key benefits
- 12-hour Battery Life: Delivers up to 12 hours of wireless listening on a single charge for day trips and casual gatherings.
- IP67 Protection: Water and dustproof construction makes it well suited to beach, poolside, and outdoor use.
- PositionIQ Audio: Automatically adjusts sound based on whether the speaker is upright, flat, or hanging for more consistent listening.
- Bluetooth 5.3: Provides stable wireless streaming with compatible devices from up to 9 metres away.
- Speaker Pairing Modes: Lets you pair two compatible Bose speakers in Stereo Mode or Party Mode for a wider or bigger sound experience.
- Compact Portable Design: Lightweight form factor fits easily into a travel bag or outdoor gear.
- Built-in Microphone: Supports hands-free phone calls without needing to reach for your phone.
- Durable Housing: Ultra durable build helps it handle everyday knocks and active use.
Q: Is this speaker loud enough for a big backyard gathering
A: Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 suits small to medium gatherings better than a large open outdoor area. It is built for portable, balanced sound, not room-filling volume or the deeper bass usually expected from a larger speaker.
Q: Can I adjust the sound profile on the Bose app
A: Yes. Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 supports Adjustable EQ in the Bose app, so you can tune the sound for music, podcasts, or movies. The app changes the sound profile, but it does not change the speaker's compact size or power.
Q: Do two speakers need the app to pair in stereo
A: No. Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 can pair with two compatible Bose speakers in Stereo Mode or Party Mode using the shortcut button on each speaker. Pairing is limited to compatible Bose models, so it is not a universal speaker-to-speaker feature.
Q: Will Bluetooth still hold if my phone is inside the house
A: Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 supports Bluetooth from up to 9 metres away in typical use. That figure works best as a line-of-sight guide, because walls, doors, and other wireless devices can shorten the range and reduce connection stability.
Q: Can the speaker hang from a bag or hook
A: Yes. Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 is designed to play whether it is upright, flat, or hanging from its loop, and PositionIQ adjusts the sound for that position. It suits travel or campsite use, but it is still a compact portable speaker.
Q: Does the built-in microphone let you take hands-free calls
A: Yes. Bose SoundLink Flex Gen 2 has a built-in microphone for hands-free calls, so you can answer without picking up your phone. It is useful for casual calling, but it is still a portable speaker rather than a dedicated conference device.
