We are happy with the effectiveness of this machine, There is plenty of room for our family of four. We are only using basic functions currently, but will likely use the delay start .

Bosch Series 6 - quiet and efficient.
After much research and physically checking out a number of dishwashers, we settled on the Bosch 6. The product reviews were overwhelmingly positive and chats with friends who had the brand highly recommended the model we selected. The Goodguys were very helpful in showing us the features as well. 5 stars from us.

Bosch dishwasher
Pretty happy with it so far. Still adjusting to different lay out from previous dishwasher. Unfortunately drawers don’t run very smoothly. First few times I opened the door, the whole dishwasher came forward, this has slowly improved. Items still wet at times, even with rinse aid and the wash load l have chosen.

Energy efficiency score
8/10 - strong 4 star energy rating with estimated annual energy consumption of 230kWh.
Ease of loading rating
8/10 - adjustable top basket, foldable plate racks and cup shelves make mixed loads easier to organise.
Noise level vs category average

Installation flexibility

Key benefits
- 14 Place Settings: Washes a full family-sized load in one cycle, making it well suited to medium to large households.
- 44dB Quiet Operation: Runs quietly enough for open-plan homes and evening cycles without heavily disrupting conversation.
- Six Wash Programs: Gives you practical cleaning flexibility with Eco Wash, Auto Wash, Auto Gentle, Pots & Pans, Quick 1 Hour and Favourite.
- Three-Level Adjustable Top Basket: Makes it easier to fit taller cookware, plates and glasses as your load changes.
- hydroDry Heat Exchanger: Dries dishes gently by using stored heat, which helps protect delicate items.
- Home Connect: Lets you monitor and control cycles remotely through a compatible app for added day-to-day convenience.
- 4 Star Energy Rating: Uses an estimated 230kWh per year, helping keep energy use reasonable for a full-size dishwasher.
- 5 Star WELS Water Rating: Uses 11.4L per wash on the Eco Wash setting, supporting lower water consumption in regular use.
Q: Will the Bosch SMS6HAI02A fit in a standard 60cm dishwasher space?
A: It suits a standard 60cm-wide cavity, but the actual appliance size is 845 x 600 x 600 mm. Allow extra room for the door swing, hoses and ventilation clearance, especially if it is going under a benchtop with a fixed height.
Q: How quiet is the Bosch Series 6 SMS6HAI02A in everyday use?
A: At 44 dB, this dishwasher is quiet enough for most open-plan kitchens and evening cycles. It is not silent, but it is generally closer to low background conversation than to the louder wash noise common on older or entry-level models.
Q: How does the heat exchanger drying system work on this Bosch dishwasher?
A: The heat exchanger dries more gently by using stored heat rather than exposing dishes to an intense final blast. That helps protect delicate items, but like most dishwashers, lightweight plastics can still hold some water after the cycle.
Q: What does AquaStop mean on the Bosch SMS6HAI02A?
A: AquaStop is Bosch's leak protection system. It is designed to detect certain hose or internal water faults and shut off the water supply to reduce the risk of overflow, which is a useful safeguard if the dishwasher runs overnight or while out.
Q: What can Home Connect do on the Bosch SMS6HAI02A?
A: Home Connect adds app control, so compatible tasks can include starting a cycle remotely, checking status and getting notifications when the wash is finished. It is useful for monitoring the dishwasher, but loading and detergent still need to be done in person.
Q: Why choose this Bosch Series 6 over a lower series Bosch dishwasher?
A: The step up is in convenience and refinement rather than size. This Series 6 model combines 44 dB operation, Home Connect, AquaStop and heat exchanger drying, so it better suits buyers who want quieter running and more control than basic models offer.
